Looks like this thread got put on hold.  So i'll start it up again.  Wink

Anyways, I'm making a wrap dress, and this dress inspired me:

Which i had asked people about here - thanks everyone!:

So I'm making up my own pattern, and winging it.  I drew and cut out the pattern pieces today out of newspaper.  And monday I'll start cutting out the fabric.

Here's a pic of my fabric:

Don't pay attention to the stripes you see on the fabric, thats just my ironing board cover.  And because I see that, I'm pretty sure I'll have to line the dress.
This is fabric I got at a yard sale for $2, and there's about 4 yards of it!   Cheesy

There will be progress pics, and if you see my daughter in a couple, thats just cause she's a camera hog. Smiley

I have been looking for just this for sooo long!  Thanks so much for posting that link!

I too can't justify paying that much for a pattern.
9  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / Dressy pantsuit...? on: October 31, 2006 06:10:27 AM
I found this pantsuit on ebay, and i really would like to have something like it for christmas.  I'd like to find different style pics of this too, but I can't seem to find any, I think because I'm not exactly sure what it's called.
Has anyone seen anything like this? It's a pants w/ an almost dress length top, too cute.

10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Dressing up a 6 yr old..50's style? on: October 30, 2006 01:31:34 PM
So my son has a 50's day at school, their celebrating the 50th day of school.  And their encouraged to dress in 50's apparel.  What could i make/ put on him?  Jeans, collared shirts, he has an old faux-leather jacket somewhere... any reference pics would be appreciated too.  Thanks!  Smiley
