Geez, I wish I could go to Disneyland! Instead, Swink and I had lunch at a copier open house. The little devil snuck in and photocopied himself:

Of course, he picked the most expensive one which made the salesman come over and talk to me, but hey, its all in the name of Craftster!  Grin

Okay, after all the rush I can finally get to posting photos of Gestalte_Sara's awesome package:

First, it came with this neat package:

and inside the case was:

Radishes! I love them! And the case was great at the HP release- I used it to hold my gum. There was also a time-turner sticker kit and a chocolate frog!

Then, I looked past the package and discovered:

who took me awhile to find because he got a little scared and flew into the "Owlery":

After I had the cute little guy under control, I checked out the rest of the package:

This is an absolutely gorgeous scarf! I love the pattern. It was so different and unique then the regular ones!

And to make up for my shameful lateness in posting photos, here's an action shot from the release party. Since I made it through the second round, I got a picture with Dumbledore! Owl was in my pack as well as my Little Visitor (who got first place in the narval (oh, I forget how to spell that and I'm too tired to look it up) contest!) and my friendly dragon Scorch.

Seriously? I have NEVER heard so many compliments on a scarf. I promised all the knitters I would let Gestalte_Sara know just how AWESOME her scarf is Smiley

Well, Swink and I are kicking back this morning reading blogs since the boss isn't here. I think he's read a bit too much Bittersweet (http://bittersweetblog.wordpress.com/), though because he's trying to imitate her amiguriumi!

Swink, Fireworks the dog, my husband and I stayed out WAY too late last night, so we didn't get up until 2 pm!

We stuffed ourselves silly at the Taste of Chicago!

Okay! I finally got my camera card to read! Sorry, this is SUPER pic heavy:

To start, here's what I sent knichole:

Some bottle cap earrings and a necklace from the Black Cauldron, modeled by my stuffie Breadcrumbs:

One of Magknits' "A Bag for All Seasons" that I modified for some photo pockets, which I put stills from the Black Cauldron:

Some Jack Skellington armwarmers, because she mentioned she liked the Nightmare before Christmas:

(complete with dorky action shot to show how they look on)

Okay, and here's what I got modeled by my largest stuffie, Dotty:

A cute Stitch purse!

A dalmatians journal:

And a totally awesome dalmatian scarf:

And just to show off how much I <3 101 dalmatians, my wall of dalmatian stuffies! I have an additional basketfull but I thought this was enough pics Smiley

26  Re: feather headbands--lotsa pictures in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by cfbandit on: July 03, 2007 08:28:17 AM
Isn't the clip made on a standard curved hair comb?

Something like this (this is a fancy one, I just can't seem to locate a pic of the plain ones like I use at home for stuff)

I've got a bunch of these at home and they give you a similar look (though most of mine have butterflies and dragonflies on them and not feathers), so I'm pretty sure that's what it is, maybe with the feathers layered onto a small base, kinda similar to the pheasant feather pad you used on the headband?

So Swink is sitting here with me telling me he wants ALL of his pictures in the gallery.

I felt bad, but I had to say no. So we bargained, and he gets a few :-)

Swink arrived in great shape, and we had a big party to welcome him:

He went with my husband and I Sunday to do our duty and answer questions at the Museum of Science and Industry about our "Canstruction" creation. He was a little worried, however, when he saw our ride:

But it was okay! He flew right along and side and was a great helper!

He's been going to work with me, and helped me check our schedule out yesterday:

And today, he helped me get our new elementary school addition drawings out on time:

Oh no! Swink's gone down!  Shocked

No worries, a little Red Bull and he's up and back at 'em!

He he he...this is WAY more fun than even I thought it would be!

28  Re: Little Visitor Round 7 (Signups CLOSED! Send out June 13 & August 29) in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by cfbandit on: June 13, 2007 07:10:50 PM
Swink arrived today! He's been fed, so he's not mad at me anymore! (I had to go pick up spray paint for another exchange!) He immediately made friends with my little dragons.

Yea! An awesome swap angel named Crystal sent me a package Smiley

Beautifully wrapped...

An awesome new blood glucose monitoring case (and I don't care about the lack of pockets, C  Wink )...

I opened it up, and out came some surprises...

A knitting row counter bracelet (which I've been meaning to make but haven't LOL - you must have read my mind somehow Smiley )
A fantastic scented felted soap for my dry skin
And a new portable fan! Just when mine had broke. Thank you so, so much!

And then...
More goodies!

A new keyboard and wrist rest for my crafster.org addiction problem LOL.

And I think one of the top two things in the package...

An eye pillow to scent to deal w/menopausal related symptoms.

Awesome! I've so got to do this again! :-)
