91  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Book-Page Bunny Notecards on: March 25, 2016 09:54:09 PM
I made these for my partner in the Frivolous Little Bunny Swap. Since she's already received, I figured it was safe to post them now! They were inspired by something I saw on Pinterest.

Purple cardstock!

White cardstock!

Group shot, along with the tiniest glimpse of the envelopes I made to go along with them.

Don't worry, bibliophiles: the book was super old and pretty much falling apart.

It must be said: I just love the lighting in my apartment. It's juuuust bright enough to cause a glare, but not quite bright enough to let me take nice crisp photos. Maybe I'm going to have to start hauling out my real camera when I'm trying to photograph my projects. :/

Oops, one of my small-to-medium projects just turned into a large. Spent the better part of the night just on that one project. But! That's okay! Because it turned out really well and I'm proud and I think my partner will like it. It's from their Pinterest, anyway, and it definitely fits the theme of the swap!

Just checking--not because I want my partner to see this and make more things, but because I'm honestly curious--is anyone else finding it difficult to stick with the "one medium, two smalls" guideline? I think that, going by the guidelines of the swap, I'm technically going to be "spoiling" my partner, but going by my own swap-conscience, I'm juuuuust going to be meeting the requirements. Does that make sense? Is anyone else in the same boat?

I am going to get so much crafting done today!

I think I'm not going to be able to resist this swap. I should be getting feedback for one of my swaps soon, so I won't have all five slots filled up for long. I have the next week off for Spring Break (I'm a teacher), so I'm going to be able to do a ton of crafting for my other two swaps, which will really free me up for this one.

I'm going to hold off on signing up, though: I want to see how much crafting I can do tomorrow (Good Friday; no school). If I feel like I'm making good progress, I'll sign up. Right before the deadline, too!

Ah, that hoop is so sweet and realistic. I love its little mouth. Smiley

Ohh, this is beautiful. I love the addition of the paper flowers and butterflies!
97  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: Koi Fish Tutorial on: March 24, 2016 04:56:54 AM
This is phenomenal. I've never really done much work with polymer clay, mostly because it's always seemed so intimidating. And making canes? Forget about it! But, thanks to your tutorial here, I feel like I could actually attempt making these sweet little koi fish and have them come out pretty close to the way I'd want them to! I don't know if I would have thought about hiding the pin in the body of the fish to keep it more securely in the clay, so that was a brilliant pointer. If I tried this on my own, I might have just tried half-embedding a lone jump ring into the head. Mistake!

Seriously, thank you for this. This definitely definitely rocks! The only problem is that now I'm sorely tempted to go out and buy a bunch of polymer clay and make twelve million little koi friends. I don't need that many little koi! How would I ever wear all of them?!

I've been in a blah mood this week and just searched for "yellow" on Pinterest. There were so many fun things, and I was so happy looking at them! I think I just need to paint everything around me yellow. Ha.

I've been doing that every once in a while since seeing this thread. There are so many cute things over there!
99  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Bat-broidery on: March 22, 2016 10:29:05 AM
So, so sweet! I was picturing something like this in my head when I was planning my project for the Unloved Creature sweap, but then I realized that I would never in a million years end up with anything like this. It's wonderful!
100  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: I'm bucketloads of trouble! on: March 22, 2016 09:21:52 AM
I am constantly floored by your creations! I love seeing your posts: getting to read about your techniques and watch your projects take shape in your photo-documentaries. (I'm not sure that's really what you'd call them, but...it's accurate, at least! Smiley )

You are such an asset to this community!
