91  Craft Swaps / ACTIVE SWAPS WHERE SIGN-UP PERIOD HAS CLOSED / Re: One Tiny Unloved Creature Swap (Signups 3/2-3/16, Sendout 4/19) on: March 26, 2016 08:51:01 PM
I got a huge chunk of my crafting done tonight! There's still a little bit left to do, and possibly something else to buy, but I'm going in the right direction, at least! Smiley
92  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Sock Bunnies for Days! on: March 26, 2016 04:25:16 PM
I ended up finding, and subsequently following, these instructions for the Frivolous Little Bunny Swap. My bunnies didn't turn out nearly as cute, but I kind of think (and hope that my partner thinks) their wonkiness makes them...sweet?

Doctor Who! He's not quite TARDIS-blue, but the thought is there. The bow tie isn't quiiite as lopsided as it looks in the picture. I don't know why I didn't notice it at the time and just adjust it, but ehhh?

The Incredible Hulk! Because what else are you going to do with a neon green sock bunny?

The gangliest sock bunny in the entire world. In her questionnaire, she asked for something that looked kind of like their real-life bunny so she could give it to her youngest son. This was the first one I made, so he is the wonkiest of all.

The bunny-friends all together just before getting all packed up for their trip.

I love the fabrics and colors in that bunny plush!

And that stained-glass-look bunny is fantastic! And those envelopes!
94  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Book-Page Bunny Notecards on: March 25, 2016 09:54:09 PM
I made these for my partner in the Frivolous Little Bunny Swap. Since she's already received, I figured it was safe to post them now! They were inspired by something I saw on Pinterest.

Purple cardstock!

White cardstock!

Group shot, along with the tiniest glimpse of the envelopes I made to go along with them.

Don't worry, bibliophiles: the book was super old and pretty much falling apart.

It must be said: I just love the lighting in my apartment. It's juuuust bright enough to cause a glare, but not quite bright enough to let me take nice crisp photos. Maybe I'm going to have to start hauling out my real camera when I'm trying to photograph my projects. :/
95  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Undercover Fandom (sign ups March 4-11 / Send outs April 19) on: March 25, 2016 08:42:32 PM
Oops, one of my small-to-medium projects just turned into a large. Spent the better part of the night just on that one project. But! That's okay! Because it turned out really well and I'm proud and I think my partner will like it. It's from their Pinterest, anyway, and it definitely fits the theme of the swap!

Just checking--not because I want my partner to see this and make more things, but because I'm honestly curious--is anyone else finding it difficult to stick with the "one medium, two smalls" guideline? I think that, going by the guidelines of the swap, I'm technically going to be "spoiling" my partner, but going by my own swap-conscience, I'm juuuuust going to be meeting the requirements. Does that make sense? Is anyone else in the same boat?

I am going to get so much crafting done today!

I think I'm not going to be able to resist this swap. I should be getting feedback for one of my swaps soon, so I won't have all five slots filled up for long. I have the next week off for Spring Break (I'm a teacher), so I'm going to be able to do a ton of crafting for my other two swaps, which will really free me up for this one.

I'm going to hold off on signing up, though: I want to see how much crafting I can do tomorrow (Good Friday; no school). If I feel like I'm making good progress, I'll sign up. Right before the deadline, too!

Ah, that hoop is so sweet and realistic. I love its little mouth. Smiley
99  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Candy/Sugar Skull pinup on: March 24, 2016 04:58:08 AM
Ohh, this is beautiful. I love the addition of the paper flowers and butterflies!
100  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: Koi Fish Tutorial on: March 24, 2016 04:56:54 AM
This is phenomenal. I've never really done much work with polymer clay, mostly because it's always seemed so intimidating. And making canes? Forget about it! But, thanks to your tutorial here, I feel like I could actually attempt making these sweet little koi fish and have them come out pretty close to the way I'd want them to! I don't know if I would have thought about hiding the pin in the body of the fish to keep it more securely in the clay, so that was a brilliant pointer. If I tried this on my own, I might have just tried half-embedding a lone jump ring into the head. Mistake!

Seriously, thank you for this. This definitely definitely rocks! The only problem is that now I'm sorely tempted to go out and buy a bunch of polymer clay and make twelve million little koi friends. I don't need that many little koi! How would I ever wear all of them?!
