16  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / crochet in the round keeps curling up. Help! on: February 20, 2008 05:28:34 AM
I keep trying to get a flat circle but my circles keep curling up instead of laying flat. I make a magic loop, crochet in SC or DC, doesn't matter, into the loop lets say 10. then I join with a slst. Now when I go to start the 2nd round things begin to curl. I sc in the same st as the join and 2 SC in each around. I join at the top of the first st and the thing begins to curl up. With each row it curls up more so instead of laying flat. Can anyone help me? Is it the acrylic yarn I'm using? I really want some flat circles.
 Thanks in advance. Slystr
