That is hilarious, and also way more fun than just scrappin' about regular things like Christmas.  Sounds like you have great inspiration to CREATE memories for your kids.
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Hip in Hemp to Hip in Kashmir! on: January 17, 2008 08:21:02 PM
Gorgeous!  I am too chicken to make this, for fear it would not look so great on me.

Gorgeous! I love the tweedy look and the colours.  Could you tell me where you got the pattern please?

Pattern is available on Knit Picks http://www.knitpicks.com/FREE_PL300218.html?pagesize=1000
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: First socks? on: December 12, 2007 06:08:16 PM
JAYWALKERS!!!  The pattern is really simple, so it is easy to memorize, and you can concentrate on the construction of the sock with out having complicated pattern repeats to add in.  I also recommend knitting on 2 circs, I found it easier to navigate than all those dpns!
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Newsworthy - a newsboy style cap on: November 14, 2007 03:46:29 PM
Oooohh, a dressy newsboy cap, very chic.  Great job.

Cute! So girly!  And using Knit Picks, you don't feel bad if they can only wear them for 1 or 2 winters.

As I was weaving in my ends, I just made a small loop (I would make it a little smaller than you would think you might need, because I had the problem of the loop showing, and the strap not laying quite right). and then I just continued to weave my end in nice and snug so the loop wouldn't pull loose.  I think if I did it again, I would cast on a stitch or two extra and just make a button hole.

So cute goodkarma! I really love the color you chose!I can't wait until mine is done, I just divided the armholes off, and have done a few rows since, but distractions have kept me away...
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Little Pumpkins on: September 28, 2007 05:55:24 AM
I LOVE LOVE LOVE knitted pumpkins!  My LYS has a window display every fall of knitted pumpkins in all fall colors (not just orange, but brown, light green, yellowish, and verigated) and ranging in size from a giant pumpkin that is probably a sweaters worth of yarn, to itty bitty ones.  Now I definitely need some more!
