1  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Melting glass? on: October 14, 2006 07:17:42 AM
The higher-ups at my highschool art club have a question.
We have this festival thing coming up and one of their ideaas was to melt wine bottles flat for trays etc. The problem is them mold they tried blew up fantastically in the kiln, and they read somewhere that they needed silica (?) in the mold mixture but they don't know how much.
Anyone with more expertise?
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Discussion and Questions / Am I allowed to ask about my tomatoes?? on: September 02, 2006 07:38:06 AM
Because they're freaking out!

These tomatoes came from a large group of tomato plants that were kinda close together but isolated plants in the backyard have been doing the same thing. Does anyone have suggestions as to why and how we could stop it?
