1  UNITED STATES / New Jersey / Adorable craft boutique and workshop space is opening in Leonia, NJ! on: July 21, 2008 06:27:57 PM
I just discovered this great store in Leonia, NJ.  It's called The Craft Lounge, and it's full of beautifully handcrafted goodies -- barrettes, jewelry, handspun yarn, pottery, kids clothes, stuffed animals, soaps -- all sorts of stuff.  And the back of the store is a crafter's studio.  The girls that run the shop are really fun, and they're into all sorts of crafts.  They're planning on teaching tons of craft workshops, starting in September.  They're located at 324 Broad Ave. in Leonia.  Here's their website if you'd like to check them out: www.thecraftlounge. com.

Best,

Jen B.

Oh, so it's not just me?  Yes, I find that the gauge is way off.  I made a sweater for my son, and I had to totally change the number of stitches to make it work.  It's ashame because the patterns are really cute.  The other drawback is that she uses all of her own yarns, which you can barely find, and they're super expensive.

I knit a pair of baby booties from the Hollywood Knits book.  They turned out huge!  Luckily, I'd used a wool/mohair blend of yarn, so I was able to felt them (and shrink them).  I think they turned out pretty well.  What do you guys think?

These are just adorable.  Thanks for sharing!

I made one of her bags, too.  They're so cute!  I bought the gnome fabric at reprotdepotfabrics. com.  I also made one in an Amy Butler floral.  Once you figure out the pattern, it's fun to keep making them.

I wonder if you could do the same technique with pins. I used to collect those pins of bands back in the 80s and have never been able to figure out what to do with them.  Do you think they would work?

Your purses are absolutely gorgeous!  Each one is cuter than the next.  Any chance you could send me the pattern for the felted flowers?  Thanks so much! jen_ballot@hotmail.com
