1  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / What stich is this? (handsewing) on: March 23, 2009 10:37:51 PM
Okay, I dont know if you can all me amateur because I ahve been handsewing a number of years but I've basically stuck to the basic ones. I don't really know their names but I know how to do most of them. But I've come across this stich on this etsy I was looking at: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=11108049
I think that clip is so neatly done and I was just wondering what stitch was going around the clip- the one that binds the two felt pieces together. This question maybe be a bit stupid but I really have no idea. It would be great if someone can tell me and maybe provide a link (with pictures maybe?) to learn how to do this stitch? It would be very much appreciated! Thanks in advance!!

7  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Bad Boys... xD on: April 05, 2007 07:44:45 PM
My good friend's boyfriend is considered a "bad boy" xD and so I made this shirt for her.
Here's a shirt I made for my friend's birthday: (I hope you can see this! Its my first time posting with pictures)

That little heart and W.T. is a little thing I do on all my stenciled items- W.T is my initials =]

I was rushing and the stencil ran but I think its kinda cute because it gives it a more "bad" effect.

Comments and advice are welcomed! Thank you!
8  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / Stenciled Wedding T-Shirts on: April 05, 2007 04:35:58 PM
Now my thing is my oldest sister owns a favors store- as in selling favors for weddings and parties (mostly weddings) and I was thinking about selling some stenciled bridal shirts [examples: http://www.advantagebridal.com/embrpat2.html ] at her store; so I was wondering if anyone would actually buy them. Would people want to buy them since I am a 14 year old teenager? Would they hesitate to buy stenciled t-shirts from me? I was thinking of even personalizing them. Any advice would be very much appreciated! Thank you!  Smiley
9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / eye glass case on: February 19, 2007 10:20:39 PM
my dad is actually not here for most of the year and he came back app. 4 months ago and he will be leaving for work in about 1-2 weeks. i would really like to make him something and i saw that his eyeglass case is broken and he uses a rubber band to hold it together. well, i was planning on using felt to make it but the problem is, how do i keep it closed?? i can use velcro but mine has that sticky adhesive to it so it's hard to sew.

any ideas? i really need help since he will be leaving so soon.  Sad
10  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / mom's birthday is comming up!!! HELP! on: September 30, 2006 11:49:20 AM
okay, my mom's birthday is in a week and i want to make her something because every year for both of my sister's birthdays, i made them something but for my mom i always chipped in with my sister to get her something. so this year i wanted to make something special for her. she's pretty picky and i don't know what to make, so this is her description:

she is very healthy, eating all the right foods. She loves drinking tea, shoes and purses. my mom's purses are always expensive so i can NEVER afford them, and I can't really make her a purse because I don't have a sewing machine. -.-0 also i having been making stencils shirts and hoodies for my sisters for their birthdays but my mom is the kind of person who will not wear that kind of stuff. She is always dressed nicely and takes time for her hair and makeup. She LOVES reading the newspaper and has to buy it everyday.

so that's basically it, and i don't  know what to make... help would be so appreciated. THANKS =)
