Before the last bath

Wax out!
Getting the stuff out. Quite horrible.

Woooooo happy happy!! I just can't believe I really made that.
Now I just don't know what to do with it. I thought of putting it on bamboosticks, so it can be hang in front of the window. I love to hear your thoughts.

2  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / brown swirlie Hip Wrap on: September 20, 2009 04:33:46 AM

So I finally finished another hip wrap!
This one has only a long string on one site. On the other side there is a button where the string will wrap around.

Sorry for the big pics. I can't upload them to craftster from this computer, and they are allready online...

and the back.
3  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Wrap around hip bag on: August 26, 2009 01:46:57 AM
Lets breathe life into the felt forum!

A while ago I felted this wrap around your hip bag.
It always drives me crazy having no pockets to put things in when I'm wearing a skirt.
At work I have to carry a phone and keys with me all the time. But I can't drag a bag with me all day. So I came up with this solution.

Cause what's a girl supposed to do without her corkscrew and cell phone?

It's wet felted out of one piece. And like the title suggests is long enough to wrap around the hip.
Hope you like it!

4  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / wet felted Owl bag on: August 26, 2009 12:34:50 AM
with the 'breathe life into the felt forum' spirit I moved this post from purses and bags to the felt corner......

I'm so proud of this bag. I think he came out very cute. At first it wasn't my intention to make an owl. I just wanted to make a bag. But he just begged long enough so I gave him eyes. Amazing what eyes can do to just any object.

He is felted out of one piece, so there are no seams. On the front he has a little cell phone / iPod pocket felted in.

I had a very miserable, very tired day just hanging around not doing anything. When I woke up after collapsing in an afternoon nap I kicked myself doing something.

well, this is what came out

I love to hear your c & c!
5  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / wet felt cellphone cozy on: April 02, 2009 12:48:48 AM
This cellphone cozy I made for Princesspepper for the One Tiny Thing swap.
In this swap your partner gives you 5 themes from which you can choose.
I used 4 of them: the colour grey, feathers, bats and sequins.
This is what I came up with.

search for the bat!

6  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / felt covered journal on: March 12, 2009 08:27:47 AM
This is a journal I made for Irishmolly for the Europe swapper fest round 1.

The cover is wet felted.

My bf and I recently felted some dragons on a 3D feltweekend.

8  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Macro Photo Challenge:: Mrs. Spider meets Mr. Fly {not for the aragnafobic} on: April 21, 2008 03:14:38 AM
For the photo challenge!

I caught Mrs Spider at lunchtime. She was just tenderizing her steak.

I love macrophotography, I can spend hours on my knees between the plants in my little garden.
There's a whole new world opening right before your eyes if you'd only look close enough.

ARRRR

I made this with my Nikon D40 with a Raynox Macroconverter.
9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Ground sheet Grocery Bag on: April 16, 2008 02:07:15 AM
This is a bag I made for the Going Green Swap!
I made it for the lovely and inspiring Littlebluegirl who lives in the UK.
It's made out of a ground sheet I used last summer while camping in England (Cornwall). So I also gave her back some english dirt!  Tongue
All things used are recycled scrap.

I ironed the fabric with the plastic underneath it a tiny bit to long and the whole thing started fusing together and shrinking like mad. It gave this funky wrinkly result!
So it turned out lovely by mistake.

Enjoy!

Bag in Action... cucumber going bananas!

The briljant text my bf came up with: Used to be!
(I think it doesn't stand out enough but heay I wasn't allowed to buy other color markers!)

Thanks for looking!!
