32  Good-luck charm in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Shade of Shadow on: September 05, 2006 12:28:38 AM
This is a little good-luck charm I had for my mom. She's having eye surgery tomorrow and I wanted to give her a little something to get some    positive spirit from.

This is what i came up with.

Its just one inch small and made out of two beads.

33  Iron wire puppets {big pics} in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Shade of Shadow on: September 04, 2006 02:21:44 AM
Well, i have no idea if this is the right section for this, but since they are little puppet thingies i thought this should be the right one.

These little fellows are made out of iron wire. They are about 6 inch tall.

This is the Angel of Wasps. I made these during our vacation in the woods where we were hunted by a thousand wasps.  Shocked
This sad little angel i made in memory of all the wasps that got trapped in our tent we killed.

This little fellow likes spinning around and around in the backyard.
He is made out of one string.

wauw! thank you all sooooo much for commenting! You are so sweet!

This pair of wings are the second pair I made.
For the wiring i used electrode wire, u use for welding. It is very solid and it takes a lot of strength bending them. But it makes them very very strong. And they have to be, cause you get stuck in the crowd a lot of times if you are on a crowdy fair.  Roll Eyes And you also catch a lot of wind  Grin.
The wires are brazed together. After all the framework is done the fabric goes on. I used cheap curtain fabric. The main parts are dubble layered green/pinkish reflectioning. The color depends on the light catching them. The lowest parts are orange.

Ooo and the striped leggings, are just stockings i bought. You find them everywhere around here. I would like to swap them with someone if i can still find them.

Well here comes a bunch of detailshots. Enjoy!

i used glittering on the top side. You only see them sometimes when the light catches them. They are very subtle, i like that!

the bottom part where the shoulder-straps are.

This is the part that goes on your back. It wears VERY comfortable! It is a piece of leather (suede) with strong elastic straps.

Well thats all!!!!  Tongue

Hi creative craftsters!
This is my first real post on this forum. So here it comes...  Roll Eyes

This costum I made about a year ago for a fantasy fair where a lot of people dress themselves as fantasy creatures.
I made the wings and the dress myself (except the corsetthingy).

Hope you like it!
