21  Ground sheet Grocery Bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Shade of Shadow on: April 16, 2008 02:07:15 AM
This is a bag I made for the Going Green Swap!
I made it for the lovely and inspiring Littlebluegirl who lives in the UK.
It's made out of a ground sheet I used last summer while camping in England (Cornwall). So I also gave her back some english dirt!  Tongue
All things used are recycled scrap.

I ironed the fabric with the plastic underneath it a tiny bit to long and the whole thing started fusing together and shrinking like mad. It gave this funky wrinkly result!
So it turned out lovely by mistake.

Enjoy!

Bag in Action... cucumber going bananas!

The briljant text my bf came up with: Used to be!
(I think it doesn't stand out enough but heay I wasn't allowed to buy other color markers!)

Thanks for looking!!

Thank you! I am very glad you like it all Littlebluegirl!
I must say I am in love with the bag myself. It turned out lovely by mistake.
I ironed the fabric with the plastic for to long and the whole thing fused together. It gave this funky wrinkling result!

I have to shamelessly post some pics I made of my stuff.

I completely recycled the image on the shirt.
And I totally forgot to send you the photo I took at Eden Project. So here you go:

25  Re: Fairy wings [UPDATE other wingies !! p.5] in Costumes: Completed Projects by Shade of Shadow on: January 09, 2007 12:01:36 AM
Thank you all for the nice comments!

What pattern did you use for the dress? Or did you use a pattern at all? I love it!

I didn't use a pattern. I guess I am not obedient and patient enough to follow them.  Tongue
And actually it really isn't a dress but a skirt with a petticoat and a top with a corset.

They are all made in a hurry on one night and very frayed.
Look!

Look how good it goes with my pjs!  Tongue

Well and then a corset on top of that!

28  First stencil: Butterflies everywhere! in Stenciling: Completed Projects by Shade of Shadow on: November 10, 2006 06:15:55 AM
My first stencil.
I just drawed some butterflies on paper and cut them out.
I used acrylic with a textile medium.
Some of the butterflies are glittery!

30  My very first handspun knitting-work thingy! in Spinning: Completed Projects by Shade of Shadow on: November 09, 2006 08:26:23 AM
My very very first handspun project!  Grin
The wool came 'fresh' from the sheep. It was lovely smelly and greasy!
This was the first time I touched a spinning wheel. So that explains the bumps and lumps and twisty parts. But hey, theres a first time for everything! (I guess Roll Eyes)

I thing it is pretty cool my first handspun is now transformed into a really comfortable cloth.

the whole thing

Kitty likes sheep smell too!
