1  Re: WWP Samhain/Halloween Swap Round 23 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Shade of Shadow on: October 21, 2010 10:14:44 AM
I RECEIVED MY SWAP PACKAGE!!!!
I got spoiled by Penelope Waits!!! She sent me this box of lovely crafted items and spoiled me with Australian goodness!

Look at the wonders she gave me....

First of all this wonderful coasters she made me. I love them!
She made them by hand and then hand hand embroidered the gorgeous autumn leaves on it with Australian hand-dyed thread. The colors are very pretty!

Detail time...

And then she made me thim lovely pin cushion which was on my wishlist.

and in the very cool color of green big teacup (made in China Tongue ) were this cute earrings. I love them. The have the perfect color and size!

and then she spoiled me with this extras:
cute fabric!

and metal sprayed golden leaves, Vegemite (yet to be tasted) and Tim Tam biscuits which apparently needs further explanation (yet to be googled) but I hope they last as long cause they look very VERY yummy!

Essie, well done you made me such gorgeous items. I love them all!!!
I hope you like my package as well. Since you were so super fast I got all rushed and all, so I didn't get you much extras ... and now feeling all bad about it. Well I love all your goodies!!!! Thanx!

This one has only a long string on one site. On the other side there is a button where the string will wrap around.

Sorry for the big pics. I can't upload them to craftster from this computer, and they are allready online...

4  Wrap around hip bag in Felting: Completed Projects by Shade of Shadow on: August 26, 2009 01:46:57 AM
Lets breathe life into the felt forum!

A while ago I felted this wrap around your hip bag.
It always drives me crazy having no pockets to put things in when I'm wearing a skirt.
At work I have to carry a phone and keys with me all the time. But I can't drag a bag with me all day. So I came up with this solution.

Cause what's a girl supposed to do without her corkscrew and cell phone?

It's wet felted out of one piece. And like the title suggests is long enough to wrap around the hip.
Hope you like it!

5  wet felted Owl bag in Felting: Completed Projects by Shade of Shadow on: August 26, 2009 12:34:50 AM
with the 'breathe life into the felt forum' spirit I moved this post from purses and bags to the felt corner......

I'm so proud of this bag. I think he came out very cute. At first it wasn't my intention to make an owl. I just wanted to make a bag. But he just begged long enough so I gave him eyes. Amazing what eyes can do to just any object.

He is felted out of one piece, so there are no seams. On the front he has a little cell phone / iPod pocket felted in.

I had a very miserable, very tired day just hanging around not doing anything. When I woke up after collapsing in an afternoon nap I kicked myself doing something.

well, this is what came out

I love to hear your c & c!

I received from Battenberg last week. I was out on a studytrip to france so I wasn't able to post here.
But here you go:

all things together

She include a pile of tree photographs, a little tree book, some lovely stickers and wood buttons.

a swap journal. She made this from scratch.

necklace and earrings. I love them! And I also really love the leafbuttons!

She made me a painting with the songtext of one of my favourite bands on it! And cute little buttons.

Thank you Battenberg. And sorry for the late posting of photos.

Thanks all, for the nice compliments!
Battenberg I'm glad you like it!
Here are some pics I took before sending.

I totally love the stamp set myself. Couldn't stop stamping.
The two without wood are reversible so you have more tree variation and it won't get so repeating.

a testtree! And that's why the stamps are blue  Roll Eyes couldn't get the dmn ink off.

It's a dream tree. You hang your dreams in the tree and your dreams will blossom.
Well, that's the idea anyway.

This cellphone cozy I made for Princesspepper for the One Tiny Thing swap.
In this swap your partner gives you 5 themes from which you can choose.
I used 4 of them: the colour grey, feathers, bats and sequins.
This is what I came up with.

search for the bat!
