1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Discussion and Questions / Neon resin pigment on: May 23, 2007 08:25:06 PM
This may seem like an odd question, but where can I buy neon resin pigment?

I'm desperate for some, but I can't seem to find anything anywhere.

Any help would be awesome but in particular, if you know of an online store where I can buy it it would be even better!  (I live in New Zealand)

2  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / osCommerce Templates on: April 17, 2007 07:42:59 PM
I'm having an incredibly hard time working out how the f&#$ to get osCommerce to work and I was hoping someone might be able to give a little advice on two things:

a.) Is there any help on the internet or elsewhere that makes using osCommerce a little easier than their skimpy pdf file?

b.) Has anyone used a predesigned osCommerce website template?  Is this easier to use if you're not the greatist at internet stuff?  Has anyone been successful with this?

Basically, I am interested in anyone's successful experience with osCommerce and osCommerce templates.

Thanks in advance!!!

4  CITY GUIDES FOR CRAFTSTERS / NEW ZEALAND / Soap Making Supplies?? on: February 19, 2007 06:57:19 PM
Hi, does anyone know anywhere that sells soap making supplies within NZ?

I can only seem to find them online from Australia and the US and it costs HEAPS to ship them here (I'm guessing because of the weight of it).

Any help would be awesome. Thanks!
5  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Smelly soap - and not in a good way. Any advice?? on: February 14, 2007 01:45:31 PM
Thanks for the advice.  I think it might have been the soap base I was using.  It developed a skin pretty much as soon as I took it off the heat, so it didn't seem like I had enough time to wait a few minutes before it got all lumpy.

The fragrance was designed for soap, so I don't think it was that.

Is there a good website for buying soap bases?

I live in New Zealand so there's not a lot of stores that carry it.
6  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Smelly soap - and not in a good way. Any advice?? on: February 13, 2007 03:09:44 PM
I have an odd predicament.

I recently bought some melt and pour soap, and made a great looking soap.

I put some vanilla hazelnut scent in it, but that seems to be unnoticable for some reason.

BUT... the worst part is...
I came home the other day and found my room stunk like rotting food.  I looked everywhere for a pesky morsel of food to get rid of it, but there was nothing.  Then I smelt my new soap and discovered that it seems to be coming from that.

Any idea why that would be, and how I can counteract that??

Also, how much scent does a soap need? I put about 1.5 teaspoons of scent into a normal size block and couldn't smell it.  Is it my method?  I heard that you should put the scent in once you have taken to soap off the heat, so that's what I did.

Any help would be awesome!!

Hehe.. he'd probably be really embarassed if he knew I posted this on the internet!

No he's not a craftster member, and no he didn't buy the felt letters - he cut out and sewed on everything individually.

I am definately going to keep him!! (I did know that before this)

Oh dear...

Now I'm going to have dozens of women trying to track down and steal the mysterious guy called "Charlie".

I want to make him something to reply but I'm not sure what?  Huh

I only just received this yesterday.
