31  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / My first time posting pics ! - moded ballet flats on: December 07, 2006 12:31:27 AM
I figured I should start sharing here so here they are, my shoes that I modified so far.  They are all ballet flats from Target.  The purple ones were previously furry leopard printed that I painted with purple fabric paint and sharpied a pattern onto.  The silver ones I love but are a bit boring, just sewed on the big red bow.  The blue ones are my favorite, they were brown suede fabric that I painted with metallic blue and fabric glued two types of ribbon to (although one shoe the ribbon is a bit crooked).  I have tons of more ideas but Target has been sold out of my size for six weeks!  Hope you like and I am open to feedback good or bad  Grin  



32  CLOTHING / Shoes: Discussion and Questions / Desperately seeking cheap flats, HELP!! on: November 08, 2006 10:43:45 AM
So I am basically obsessed with trying to find online or anywhere else cheap, basic, ballet-type flats to spruce up.  Target has some out right now for about 10-15 bucks (depending if they are on sale or not) but they are always sold out.  Does anyone out there in craftster world know of a place that I could buy these?  I don't really care about color since I am painting over them nor about fabric since I get inspired by any type.
