I am sewing a little travel bag for my father-in-law who travels a lot and painting some solar panels on it (long story). You could sew him something like that or buy a cheap one. Then you could paint it or put a G&R, a fish, and/or a pot leaf patch on the outside. If he is going up to fish at the cabin, I am sure he needs to bring something with all his stuff in it.
