32  Handwarmers in Knitting: Completed Projects by tazzell on: November 28, 2007 03:34:25 PM
Wee one asked me to knit up a pair of handwarmers for one of her friends.  I duly asked the friend to pick out the colour she wanted and last night I finally finished them up.  Wee one instantly ran over to her friends house to take them to her and on finding her not in was too excited to bring them home and wait to see her friend but gave them to the mum instead  Cheesy

Wee one did however wait long enough to model them for me so I could take a quick photo.

Wow more cute dolls and more fabulous Tardi Cheesy  Everyone has made such fabulous things.

Radioactivecrafter has received and asked me to post pics as she has to charge her battery so here goes.

Ok she asked me for either a The Angels have the Phonebox shirt or a Vote Saxon shirt.  So I made her both.

As (it appears) we're all Tardis lovers I made her a Tardis knitted stuffie.  I was most proud of this as it was my first attempt at knitting a toy with no pattern and making it up as I went along.  My youngest daughter has already put in her request for her own personal Tardis.  I really should learn to make two of everything I do for swaps  Cheesy

The whole shebang...I also included a tardis phone charm and some Scottish sweeties.

34  Re: The Skull Swap Round 4 ~Gallery~ in The Swap Gallery by tazzell on: November 14, 2007 11:12:59 AM
Ok peoples be ready with that wist button.
I received my mahoosive package from foldingj today and I mean mahoosive

I think my postie may have thought I was having something hazardous delivered but far far from it.  J has totally spoiled me.
I warn you now this is going to get very image heavy.
First we have this amazing lamp with storage in the head!

and J even sent me the adaption pack so I could do this straight away.

All these goodies were in the skull

2 huge bags of my favourite M+M's that we can't get over here, a cd case, a paper origami skull, a key ring, some squidgy skulls and 4 amazing coasters.  I couldn't get a good close up shot (I'm sure J will oblige Wink ) but the coasters are full of tiny wee skulls.

He also made not 1 not 2 not even 3 but 4 t shirts.  2 each for hubby and me.

and my personal favourite, very apt as I'm having drum lessons. Cheesy

Finished?  Nope not a chance  Shocked
The coolest picture that will now have pride of place on my kitchen wall.

If you can't read it, it says If one of her EXPERIMENTAL recipes calls for an ingredient that comes in a bottle like this.....GO 'OUT' to eat!   Love it  Grin

All these goodies were hidden amongst the plastic chips that my wee one's will no doubt now throw about the house in a snow storm kind of way

2 cool halloween cards, some treat bags and a brilliant sticker that if I'm right I think goes on my car?

And last but by no means least this cool skull mug.  I'm already planning on what brews I can fill it with.

And one more picture of the whole jaw dropping lot - how lucky am I?

Thanks again foldingJ for everything, it's all fantastic.

35  Re: from records to ipods swap gallery in The Swap Gallery by tazzell on: October 25, 2007 02:26:39 PM
My mahoosive parcel from MaRut arrived today.  Full of the most gorgeous things, I feel totally and utterly spoiled.  Unfortunately my camera battery died just as I was about to start taking photos Grrrrr.  So it's on charge right now and I'll be back tomorrow to post pictures proving what a lucky girl I am Cheesy
Thank you soo much MaRut

Right third time lucky (photosharing wasn't working before)

Ok so first the amazing cassette bag.  Isn't it just so cool?

Then this cute wee ipod cozy.  And you're right MaRut I really didn't think my ipod would fit but it totally does. Cheesy

Then what was this

Hmm looks like a wallet to me

A totally rocking boombox wallet Smiley

This was a wonderful surprise.  MaRut had dropped me hints but I was totally oblivious or I could say I was really good and refused to spoil for myself to pick up on any hints LOL
Anyway she made me this awesome ticket stub diary. Look it even has my name on it Smiley We're taking big one to her first concert next month so you know where my ticket is going post show Wink

And no it doesn't stop yet.  At the bottom of the aforementioned mahoosive box was this delight.
An earring holder covered in wee boomboxes.
I love it! Look at the detail.

Final photo - the obligatory sexy group shot.

Thanks again and again MaRut, everything is totally amazing.

36  Making stencils out of pictures in Stenciling: Completed Projects by tazzell on: October 20, 2007 10:18:27 AM
Now that all my swap partners have received I can safely share with you the things I have been working on.  All of these are stencils that I have made myself from artwork.
I am especially proud of the cassette one as it was the fiddliest stencil ever to cut.

37  A scarf in Knitting: Completed Projects by tazzell on: October 20, 2007 08:56:51 AM
This scarf took a good while to knit up as the wool is so bobbly and I totally overtightened when I cast off. But my Mum caught sight of it on her recent stay with us and remarked how lovely it was so it's now gone home with her and I also have new instructions on how to not overtighten when casting off Cheesy

Closer shot to show the wool.

38  A promise is a promise in Stenciling: Completed Projects by tazzell on: October 20, 2007 08:53:32 AM
My friend and I have a routine where I look after her two wee one's while she works and vice versa, anyway to cut a long story short her wee boy is mad for the 7 dwarves, or Hi Ho's as he calls them, and they were off to EuroDisney this last week.  So while I was looking after them over the summer holidays I made a deal with him, if he was a good boy for his mum I would make him a Hi Ho shirt to go to Disney in.
Now could I find a stencil anywhere? No.  So I had to do what any other stenciller would do and that's make one up myself.  So here we go.

One Dopey shirt.
And not to leave his big sister out.

Apparently the kids loved them and they must have worn them because their mum asked me for ironing instructions yesterday LOL

39  Re: Photographer's Swap Round 2 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by tazzell on: October 20, 2007 07:59:09 AM
It's arrived!!! Cheesy
I was awoken this morning with the postman ringing my bell bearing gifts.
Jadeye has totally spoiled me... so it gives me great pleasure to now share the beauty of it with all of you.  Warning I may go a bit picture crazy at this point Wink
Firstly the package, check out those great pictures, unfortunately I couldn't open the box without ruining them. Sad

The first thing, after the lovely note and photo's, we came across was this.  Hmmm now what could it be me and the wee one's wondered.

A beautiful photo tree/holder.  Just look at the gorgeous beads and I love how they move about on the wire.

Here it is modelling the very latest in fab photos.

Then there were all these lovely wrapped parcels.

And what great contents they had, firstly a cosy for my big camera.  Jadeye says she's a beginner sewer, well I think you're obviously a natural hon because these cosies are amazing

Check out that gorgeous lining!

Smaller cosy for my Sony.  Again fab stitching and gorgeous fabrics. Cheesy

Then we unwrapped this memory holder.  Isn't the painting great!  As I said to Jadeye I'm going to have to get a photo in this quick smart as my eldest is eyeing it up and I may find it in her room instead of mine Cheesy

But it doesn't stop there...at the bottom of the parcel was this beautiful photo album.  It is so pretty and perfect for pictures of my wee one's, a very special memeory album me thinks Wink

And of course I could not forget the fantastic photo's included.  They are beautiful shots and I can only dream of being able to take such greats shots.
Thank you again Jadeye I am so happy with everything and feel very special.  Hooray to the Royal Mail getting it here at last and safely Cheesy

40  Tardis Birthday Cake in Dessert by tazzell on: October 12, 2007 03:15:54 PM
Unfortunately this cake wasn't bigger on the inside but it was well received and my youngest was thrilled with her very own Tardis cake and it tasted delicious.
Unfortunately I couldn't get the icing as blue as I had hoped.  No matter how much dye I added the icing refused to co-operate, it did however go a darker shade of blue than the photo implies.
