61  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / new stuffy bear on: August 24, 2006 01:54:55 PM
I really like this one..  It's only my 3rd bear ever.. ok.. so he has no eyes but that gives it character right?

All feedback would be good especially since I'm so new to making these

And to give a little size reference:

62  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / what type of fabric on: August 24, 2006 08:45:40 AM
What type of fabric do you use to make your doll bodies?

I was thinking a muslin, but as I never made a doll, I'm not sure.  what works best for you?
63  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / A bunch more quilts on: August 22, 2006 05:54:35 PM
Figured I'd show these off too.  I've been quilting about 8 years now, so they've improved drastically!

My sister loves dragons.. so I just had to make one for her:

This was just a random one that I made for a craft fair and as of now it's not been sold, so it's decorating the back of my dining room chair.

I made this Celtic Knot pattern myself, and then gave this to my Aunt as a Christmas gift in 05:
If anyone wants the pattern, just ask, I'll send ya it as a PDF.

This was a gift for my friends 25th birthday:

This is one of my current WIP's.. I need to figure out a border colour:

And the closeups of the two main blocks:

And this is my favorite quilt so far, I made this for my husband as a wedding gift in February (yea, I'm a newlywed)  Fits our King Size Bed:
64  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / My very first completed teddy bear on: August 22, 2006 02:08:58 PM
Just browsing the net one night and I found a bunch of neat patterns for teddy bears I wanted to try.. and since I have a ton of scrap fabric I figured I'd give it a go:

Not too bad for my first.. any and all constructive criticism would be good.  I enjoyed making it, so if anyone's got tips or tricks on how to make them better I'd love it!
65  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Hawaiian Sunrise Quilt on: August 22, 2006 02:01:28 PM
I just finished this quilt, it's not my largest one, but I think it's going to be one of my favourites.  I'd raided my stash of fabrics and came up with this:

This is it on a twin bed:

And this is showing off the back more on the couch in the den:

I'll probably make similar ones in other colours, I have a bunch of tropical fabrics and patterns left!
66  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Puppy Quilt Made from Pet Bandanas on: August 22, 2006 01:54:53 PM
Well.. I'm just going to show off a quilt I made for my puppy with his bandanas he gets from going to the groomer.  I had a ton of extra fabric so I made the border from that.

Linked out because the files are large
