Details of swap:

Basics:
ATCs are little pieces of art that measure 2.5in x 3.5in. Due to their small size, no DC# can be applied, but IF YOUR CARDS ARE NOT RECEIVED WITHIN THREE WEEKS OF FINAL SEND OUT, YOU MUST REMAKE AND RESEND.

THIS SWAP IS INTERNATIONAL.  SINCE IT IS ONLY ONE ATC THE COST IS THE SAME AS A LETTER TO ANOTHER COUNTRY (ABOUT 80 cents US CURRENCY).

Specific stuff: For this, the SECOND round of the Tarot ATC Swap (yay!), you'll be creating an Emperor, Heirophant and Lovers cards. You'll be sending each card to a different person and receiving each card from a different person - three for three.  The goal is to eventually collect an entirely ATC version of a Tarot deck, so many rounds are to follow, each featuring a different group of cards (along with different organizers).

There is no exact symbolism defined for each card, so SOME NOTATION OF YOUR SOURCE OF INTERPRETATION WOULD BE A NICE THING TO INCLUDE - nothing fancy, just the website/book/whatever on the back of the card or on a separate simple note sent with the card.

33  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Zodiac Theme ATC Swap? on: November 10, 2006 04:45:53 AM
Anyone up for a Zodiac (astrology) themed ATC swap?

I'm all about astrology and I love the signs and symbols for the Zodiac, and was wondering if anyone else here was too.

It's just a thought, comments?  criticisms? ideas?

I figure it would run in a similar way to the Tarot swap, like do 3 signs at one time..

35  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Stitch And BOTCH / Sewing Machine Woes on: October 20, 2006 08:56:56 PM
Well.. I was making a wallet tonight, and the needle broke.  No big deal right?  Wrong!

I changed the needle (like I've done before many many times) and.. nothing.  The presser foot is going down, and the needle doesn't move.

So I loosen the thread, adjust my tension, and it moves.  Ah hah!  Nope..

The needle then frayed the thread, so I change the thread and nothing.. it's still fraying.

What do you think is wrong? Wrong size needle?  It's the same one I've purchased tons of times before..  Weird..

Thanks in advance for your help!
37  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / A Night at the Movies Swap? on: October 18, 2006 08:47:37 PM
Just had an idea.. what if we were to swap something that features our favorite movie/film?  It could be something with a quote, or a journal, or something..

Would anyone be interested?
38  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / First Diaper Bag Ever - Pic Heavy (tons of pockets) on: October 15, 2006 10:11:01 PM
Wow.. I'm so proud of this bag.  It took me a while to figure out how to add all the pockets, but i did it.

There are 3 pockets on the outside, one smaller one on each short side, and one long on the wide side.

Inside there are 3 larger pockets (juicy cups/bottles), on the short sides there are 2 pockets that hold bottles, and there's space for 7 pens/pencils/crochet hooks/knitting needles, and one small pocket that closes with velcro for keys.

It measures 6 inches wide, 14 inches high, and 21 inches long.. It's also double interfaced with a padded strap on the shoulder.

Ok.. picture heavy: you are warned!

39  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / easiest PJ pant pattern? on: October 14, 2006 05:10:22 PM
I'm new to sewing clothing (not new to sewing) and I'm looking for a really simple PJ pant pattern.. I'd like to make hubby a pair for Christmas, and he's tall (36 inch inseam).. and I'd want to do a drawstring waist..

any ideas on a quick and really simple pattern?
40  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / 50 States ATC Swap? on: October 14, 2006 12:49:31 PM
I've been seeing a lot of international countries on ATC cards lately, and IJust came up with this idea.. would anyone be interested in doing an ATC Swap that features the 50 states of the USA?

I know there are international ATC makers, and you could sign up for this too, especially because each state in the USA is so varied, and each state has it's own things that make it unique..

Maybe if we were to do all 50 states, and maybe one for Washington DC and another for the USA in general.. a total of 52 cards?

Obviously this would be broken down into managable pieces for crafting.. say 3 at a time?

What do you think, any interest?
