oh I think that's adorable!  I'm 23 and would love it.  The best gifts I ever got were hand-made. Smiley

And it's the little imperfections that make things perfect because you know they come from the heart.

thanks so much for your comments!

Snowsculpture - what a neat idea. I'm forever losing the charger and the spare batteries for my digital camera.  I'll have to try a pouch!! Too cool! Smiley

I'm already thinking of Septembers craft!
2433  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / what type of fabric on: August 24, 2006 08:45:40 AM
What type of fabric do you use to make your doll bodies?

I was thinking a muslin, but as I never made a doll, I'm not sure.  what works best for you?

I found a place that you can publish anything you write for free, and it just costs the price of binding ($4.50 or so) and 2 cents per page: http://www.lulu.com

2435  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: A game with ideas that might help you :D What could I do with........... on: August 24, 2006 07:19:54 AM
you can paint them up like little Christmas packages, and make a scene with them.  You might have to add other things to it, like a Santa or something, but it could be cute.

What could I do with a book of vinal (sp??) swatches? They're in strips about 3 inch wide by 9 inch long.
2436  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: Not lacking inspiration, but overwhelmed! on: August 24, 2006 07:13:50 AM
oh believe me I know the feeling all too well!  I've got a ton of WIPs and I'm always starting more each day.  I think right now I have 5 counted cross stitches going, 7 or 8 quilts in various stages and other projects, my newest include making teddy bears and dolls.. but ya, I know the feeling!

What I do is I have my stash seperated into piles, the NOW or oh heck ya pile, the ohh that's a good idea, or I have a good use for that, but it's not for a couple months pile, and then the, maybe someday pile.  Seems to help me.
