wow, that is a beautiful quilt! great job! did you use a pattern or did you make it up? either way, it is gorgeous.  i love the dark, rich, yummy fabrics and how the binding contrasts the border! good job,

29  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Keeping Cool?? (Dogs) on: June 19, 2007 07:28:46 PM
I have a beautiful english bulldog, Princess, and she gets pretty hot in the summer.  She has a lot of extra skin so she has a lot of extra warmth too.  Any idea how to keep her cool? i've seen dog toys that you fill with water so when they chew on it it cools them but they are too expensive for me Undecided she does wear a collar all the time so maybe something that ways? i need ideas or she might melt!! (jk) Wink she doesn't mind wearing clothes either: here is a pic of her so you can see her extra neck fur and how cute she is!
i mean, how big she is... Roll Eyes

thanks in advance,
SmithyBoy

thank you so much! i did mine with two layers of cotton, and one layer of batting in between that was 1/2" smaller all around so it wouldn't show when i sewed them together...i did clip all my seams, including the outermost edging...BUT i must warn you that although the clipping looks so much nicer because it unravels faster, you must be VERY careful not to clip the stitching! i ended up with 4 huge! holes in it after it came out of the wash because i clipped the stitiching!! (and it was a PITA to sew back together!!)  good luck with yours i would love to see pics when you're done?!?!?  Grin
