23  Need Help with Peeling Paint! in Stenciling: Discussion and Questions by smithyboy on: November 30, 2006 09:38:02 PM
The paint on my shirt was halfway peeled off by the stencil (freezer paper) when i peeled it off.  I did do two coats, will that make the top layer peel off? here are some pics:
It has peeled off a lower section of the "D":

Any ideas how to prevent or fix that? Huh

AND, how do i keep the paint from seeping under the freezer paper?  i was just using a sea sponge type thing and dabbing, not smearing!  please help! it's for my BFF's christmas prezzie! Smiley

Any Thoughts?!??? Huh

26  Re: Question about Plush sewing(IMG heavy) in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions by smithyboy on: November 22, 2006 02:52:49 PM
It's kinda hard to explain, but I'll try! Smiley

You're going to take the oval and put it with the good side of the fabric facing up and the side piece with the good side facing down:

Take the side piece and put it on top of the body piece, with good sides together  it might be a little tricky, but pin and sew the side piece around like this (it'll be easier if you pin it):

after you take the pins out you'll see what it's going to look like....

i read the instructions, but they don't make much sense.... so i thought of a better (less confusing to me, at least) way to do the ears.....

cut two slits in the side piece where you want your ears: The Yellow Slits

sitck the ears in like this:

and sew them in like this:

if you turn it right side out, it should look kinda like this so far:

turn it back again and now you're going to sew the back oval on:
pin and sew it just like before

you'll end up with a thing that looks like a can...

turn it right side out through the little slot left by the side pieces:
stuff, hand sew the opening closed and you're done!!

yay! Grin

I know that didn't make too much sense, so don't hesitate to ask me any more questions!
