Atsuko, I really love the shape you made your houses in and the direction you took them in very cool. The last house posted with the feather is so cool too, I love all the different elements used. Actually all the houses so far have been inspiring.

Those are all marvelous houses.  Are the beeswax ones what is called "encaustic"?  That is on my list of things that I want to try, only I haven't seen very many examples of what it actually lookd like.
I had no idea what encaustic meant so I googled it and according to wikipedia encaustic is a technique that involves using heated beeswax to which colored pigments are added. In my case I did not add any pigments or color, but just used the wax itself so I am not sure, but you have inspired me to look into this further and maybe experiment hmmm. I got a 20 dollar gift certificate to michaels crafts for my birthday and bought a big chunk of bees wax with it and thought it would be cool to melt and sort of coat on my work to give it a different texture and look. Im happy to hear my partners say it smells good because when I melted it and was working with it I said the same thing but my family told me that it didnt have a smell and I thought maybe I was imagining things. Looking forward to seeing more chunky houses and now that all my partners have received I am already wishing there was a round 4 so I could make more houses...I think I am addicted to these things, they just look so cool lined up in a row.
