32  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Rag tunic on: June 06, 2007 12:56:59 PM
I made this over the weekend with some crazy awesome discount yarn, R2 Rag by Rowan/Westminster fibres. There's a Coats and Clark outlet near my house, where I can get a bag of 10 for $6. I saw it in another store, same amount...$107. Yikes. Anyway:
33  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Fun with Kool Aid! on: June 02, 2007 12:23:41 PM

One packet of Tropical Punch and two packets of Ice Blue Rasberry Lemonade. I call it "Surf".

And some more I did yesterday. 6 packets of Lemon Lime. "Atomic Lettuce".
34  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / crochet Necklace and ocean-inspired cuff on: May 30, 2007 01:50:30 PM
Hello fellow crabby folk! Allow me to introduce myself...I'm an avid biscuiter of several years, but this is my first post in the biscuit boards. I also live to crochet/crochet and do basically anything with string.

I threaded about 5 metres of seed biscuits and then crochet them a 2-stitch i-cord on 8 mm needles. Sorry I don't have an overall shot, I was trying to get as much detail as possible.

A stitchy thing I made up while goofing one afternoon.
35  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Summer knits! Razor tank, yellow vest and happy bag. on: May 28, 2007 01:57:29 PM
I designed this vest out of some recycled cotton I got during a Salvation Army sale. Normally I'd wear it with a white tank, but I think I like it with the BRMC tank..

I *finally* finished my razor tank. This is a great pattern, but I got bored with the lace repeat really fast. I was not feeling like knitting the straps, so i sewed some 1" elastic in and it does the job just fine. All in all a very satisfying knit. Thanks OhMyStars for your lovely pattern! Sorry you can't really see the lace too well...

Aaand a Noro purse! With a funky little pin courtesy of Avon.

Noro's 100% percent wool, right? That should felt, right? Ha. I ran it through the machine FIVE TIMES. And then I went at it by hand for about 20 minutes. You can still see the stitches pretty clearly. I still love it though!

YAY SUMMER!

If you have ANY questions/comments, let me know!
36  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / the most amazing hat in the world on: May 19, 2007 02:16:34 PM
My friend Nick requested a hat with a rainbow motif and earflaps. It's my first fair isle that I'm not embarrased about, so I'm quite proud.

Be in awe of my camera skillz:

Yarn: mostly Lion Wool with Nashua Handknits Creative Focus Worsted (green) and Paton's Classic Merino Wool (blue). A pastiche of scraps, if you will.
Needles: 4mm circular/dpns
Notes: pretty basic construction, knit from the bottom up with 4-corner decreasing. Earflaps picked up and worked afterwards in garter stitch.
Overall: totally awesome.
37  KNITTING / Knitalongs / VK spring/summer 07 crop top on: May 17, 2007 12:08:22 PM
Anybody interested in a KAL for this pattern? I've already started mine but I'm a pretty slow knitter Tongue I'm making mine in Berroco Bonzai.
