Whew!  Just finished cutting the steeks... what a stressful experience.  I'm not so comfortable cutting through something I've worked on for so long, and it has been a long long time...

Anywho, looks like it's going to fit.  Just gotta finish 'er up Smiley

I am still working on this project... seems to be taking forever, but I really haven't had the time to spend on it until now... Yesterday was my last day of teaching so now it's knitting time!!!
5  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Sewing/Cutting Table on: April 02, 2007 04:14:56 PM
I'm just wondering if anyone has ever seen a sewing table that doubles as a cutting table.  I'm thinking it would have to be adjustable to allow for the height difference.  I've been looking around and I can't find anything.  Have you ever seen this type of thing?  I wonder if I'll just have to get two tables....  Please let me know what you think Smiley

OK, I've been knitting this vest for a while now (I'm at about row 50) and I'm curious about what to do with these steeks.  I'm using a superwash wool so I guess I can't do the steeks?

Should I just knit the entire thing as per the pattern and machine sew the seams/armholes afterwards?  I think some of you did it without the steeks, so any advice you could give would be wicked awesome as I am thoroughly confused right now!!!  Thanks!
8  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Persian Waxing on: August 26, 2006 07:48:40 AM
I find it doesn't work well for me if I don't rub the right way Smiley

You have to apply the sugar in the same direction as your hair growth.  Rub the fabric strip in the opposite direction 2-3 times and then pull in that same direction (opposite of hair growth).

Hopefully this helps.
