I made this last night. its so fun and fast.  It's actually my second one but the first one i made was too small and i didnt like the colors.   Undecided   This uses red heart in painted desert and black caron simply soft.  I think i should have done the shell stiches in black also. I guess i'll just have to make another one.  Cheesy  I really like the buttons though.

I've got all this super scratchy hand dyed wool that i cant figure out what to do with. Any ideas? Seems too scratchy for any type of clothing.  Huh  there is some super bulky and some 2ply that is pretty thin.

 Shocked i love this.  i live in louisiana and wear sandals pretty much 11 months of the year.  and now i know what to do with all those plastic bags.   Grin

your hat looks great!  i made that one too. it was very quick and easy but i used 3 colors and didnt like the way it looked. ill have to try again with 2 colors. i really like the variegated yarn.

Well I have the exact same question. I work at an arboretum and we do a different nature craft every month. I've been doing this for 7 years now and it's getting hard to find new projects. Here are some of the things we do:

paper bead necklaces
pine cone birdfeeders
nature journals
leaf rubbing field guides
coffee filter flowers and butterfies
seed collage pictures
fish prints
nature prints
plastic water bottle birdfeeders
