6601  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Re: How's your Etsy shop doing now? on: March 07, 2007 03:12:23 AM
I'va had an interesting situation come up with a buyer.

She purchased and paid for on of my aprons, but then sent me a convo asking me to ship it to Canada. I offer international shipping, but only after a convo to give a specific quote for the location.

The cost of shipping this purchase would be more than she paid for the whole purchase. I sent her a convo back saying that I can do one of two things:

"To resolve this I can ship to you, and you can then ship to the address. Or I can invoice you the additional costs to pay separatly before shipping."

I have a funny feeling this person is going to give me a problem.

Has anyone else had something like this happen?

Oh, that is too cute! A pair of those would make such fun earrings! Smiley

Try and find your niche! I know it is easier said then done.

This is so true, and something I have found recently also.

I'm in the process of streamlining my shop to only three categories (mosaics, Judaica, aprons). I'm not sure if I want to just delete the items that don't fit or let them sell off. In the meantime I've made a "Price Reduction" section till I decide what to do.

Sorry for your health concerns, I will keep you in my prayers. Smiley

This is one of my latest mosaics. I used all sorts of various mediums to create it, and am pleased with the outcome.  Smiley

I love the crocheted flowers. Would you consider breaking the current sets, so the colors could be mixed? Or some other combination?
No problem. Just let me know what you want and what you are willing to pay for it.

Thank you BeaG! I will convo you on Etsy. Smiley

My second shop, where I sell supplies, ( http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=68559 ) has never been a big success and I want to concentrate on my main shop. Also Etsy is now clearer stating they don't like us to have two shops. So I will let it die slowly but humanely... lol.

That is why I am open for offers on groups of products from that shop. You can for instance make me an offer on all of my 1980s clipon earrings (they can also be taken apart and used for making jewelry), or on all of my crocheted beads, etc. Your offer should include shipping costs.
I will of course only consider offers that don't cost me money (just a little profit will do).
You can pm me here, or convo me on Etsy.

I might decide in a few weeks to take down all the items, instead of letting the shop blead to death. So now is your chance!
