Ok. Koolaid is awesome for so many things...unbelievable. Hair, yarn, a tasty drink...just incredible.

Your yarn definitely rocks. Do you have any problems with color leakage should it get wet again?

Maybe you could all go in on a gift certificate to a spa. Let her get away from it all for an hour or so? I know it's not making something, but it might make her feel good about herself again.
1524  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Grommet tape question on: August 26, 2006 05:23:15 AM
Thanks Elphelba. That's exactly what I ended up doing. It actually works. Smiley The problem I was having with sewing it is that there wasn't really enough trim on the sides of the grommet to get it through a sewing machine and my hand sewing looks like crap. But my experiment worked and you can use heat n bond to attach grommet tape! Yay!!!
1525  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Grommet tape question on: August 25, 2006 11:08:41 AM
For clarification: it's plasticy-vinyl grommet tape. I'm afraid the iron might melt it.
1526  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Grommet tape question on: August 25, 2006 10:41:43 AM
I looked through all the posts on grommet tape but could not find an answer to my question. Has anyone used heat n bond on grommet tape to attach it as an embelishment to a piece of clothing? Would that work? I'm looking for a lazy way out of sewing it on. Thanks.
1527  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / Re: Building a better bra on: August 23, 2006 11:58:53 AM
I know a sewing shop in Toronto has a bra making class (which I will be taking eventually)...maybe check your local shop!

DOn't know if you got married yet, but I got married October 2004 and had my dress made by http://www.dressbuilder.com. I just put my measurements in the order form and they custom made my gown. It fit beautifully! And I got so many compliments on it! And I think my dress was only a bit over $300. Way less than the $750 one I was going to get at a bridal store! I got the colors on the right: http://www.dressbuilder.com/allure.html

Hope this helps and your day is magical!
