This is very similar to one I made last year before a plane trip. I love your binding, it's so nice and crisp.

Ok, I know I'm late in the game here, but just in case anyone else from the area ever comes along- we are in the process of putting together a casual craft group for the Augusta area. If you are around the Augusta area and interested in meeting other local crafters, please click over to http://groups.google.com/group/craftCSRA and mention that you found the group via Craftster.

7  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Re: Need suggestion for slip cover fabric. on: February 09, 2009 12:54:20 PM
I used a  leopard print Ralph Lauren sheet on a chaise lounge that I never sit on, and it came out fantastic. I also did a medium weight pink velvet on a loveseat, and I'm happy with that as well- although working on it in August when you are 10 months preggo was very HOT and I dont recommend it to anyone.. the sheet looks great and doesn't shift around or wear out..I think by the time it wears out you will be sick of it anyway. I would definatley not take the time to Wonderunder or interface.
Good luck and post pics.

8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Using Patterns on: February 09, 2009 11:37:49 AM
yep as long as you have a big flat space to lay everything out on should be fine. After you do a few you will get the hang of it and even modify your style of cutting and layout.. good luck!
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / applique-ing a woven fabric to a stretch fabric? is it possible? on: February 09, 2009 11:36:06 AM
Ok, I know it's possible in the small scale- as in putting a flower made from quilting cotton onto a t-shirt.

But I am specifically asking about putting a collar like from a mens dress shirt  onto a t-shirt . The t- shirt has to be stretchy enough to go over the head. So, when I put the collar on, do I stretch the neck of t=shirt as far as I'm sewing the two together? won't that make it misshapen..
What type of needle should I use?
I have a really cute idea but trouble with the implementation.. any help is much appreciated! I have been sewing forever but not a lot of experience with knits.
10  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Re: The (new) Etsy critique thread! on: December 12, 2008 07:24:50 PM
I forgot to say, I would like a critique as well. I'm retaking pics of the shoes tommorow.. I know i probably need a wider price range, more items.. what do you think?
