1  Halloween / Halloween Decor and Parties / Star Wars Trunk or Treat decorations on: October 27, 2014 12:39:13 PM
Since I made my son's costume this year as a Jedi, I thought I would make a few Star Wars themed decorations for a trunk or treat we will be going to this Friday.
The R2D2 is made out of a domed topped trash can and some different colored duck tape. AT AT is made of recycled materials, pringle cans, shoe box, and duck tape.

2  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Jedi costume for my 20 month old on: October 22, 2014 01:21:23 PM
Finished in one afternoon. The directions were so easy and no pattern was needed http://www.degraeve.com/jedirobe/ . I wish I could have gotten a photo of my son wearing it, but he wouldn't even put it on. I hope he will on Halloween night when we go trick or treating. Still waiting for his light saber in the mail. Recently moved overseas to Korea and I guess Star Wars is not big with the kids and I couldn't find one at a local store. Will update once I get him to try it on. Details on my blog reese52.blogspot.com.

Edited to add photos with my little Jedi wearing the costume.

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Skull Scarf on: October 19, 2014 03:39:21 AM
Not sure if this the correct place to post. Please let me know if I need to move to another board.

Just in time for Halloween season, but then I would wear this even after Halloween. I took a place scarf, traced a skull pattern I found from google and hand sewn on both sides of the scarf.

4  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Kitchen keyholders - Red Chili Peppers on: July 22, 2008 12:56:08 PM
I just finished this yesterday and I am fairly happy how it turned out.  I still need to find out how to seal it properly.  It's been stained, but no clear finish.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I also tried using real chili peppers to dry.  My neighbor gave those to me from her garden.

5  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Cassette Tape Mini Journal - Guns and Roses now with tutorial on: July 20, 2008 07:29:30 PM
I usually use the cassette tape sleeve rather than the actual plastic cassette tape.  I didn't want to throw it out and and came up with another type of journal/notebook.  I did find the inspiration from an etsy shop.  I'll have to find the store again.  Any constructive criticism would be appreciated.  This is my first attempt at this type of journal.

This is my first attempt at a tutorial and posted it here:

6  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / Another product review (recycled record journal) - will it sell? on: April 15, 2008 08:05:06 AM
I just made this journal from a recycled record cover.  What do you think?  Do you think it will sell?  I was thinking about pricing it at around $12 - $15.

7  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Anne Murray record cover recycled into a "new" jounal on: April 14, 2008 12:45:30 PM
I've always loved records.  I still have a small collection of my own.  I've seen a few record covers turned into journals and have wanted to give it a try.
I also love to thrift shop and go to garage sales.  On a recent visit to a thrift store, I found an interesting cover to an Anne Murray record.  I thought it would make a great recycled journal.  Anyway, here is what I made.  Tell me what you guys think.  Any constructive criticism would also be appreciated.

8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / My attempt at a cassette tape wallet on: April 06, 2008 06:23:30 PM
This was inspired by this post:

I finally sat down and figured out how to put one together.  There's a few things I would change when drafting the pattern out, but for the most part, I'm happy how it turned out.
