21  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Hair comb thingys on: June 22, 2010 06:24:44 AM
Oh wow, great!! I love all of them. Grin I agree, I like the distressed look of the second flower one, but the wingish one (the first one) is so classy in a sort of antique way.

I think you did a fabulous job!

24  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Batman: The Dark Knight (That went on FOREVERS) Tea Towel on: April 28, 2010 12:08:47 AM
VERY awesome!! I love that it's the animated series version of Batman... since I own two collections of it. Grin (Thanks for the link by the way... I know what I'm going to read tonight!) Anyway, I love that it looks like a marker drawing. I think it's fabulous.

PLUS Darkwing Duck, who is almost just as cool! Wink (Let's get dangerous!) May I ask where the Darkwing Duck pattern came from?

Wow, alwaysinmyroom, thank you! (This is why I love Craftster, fabulous people like you! Grin) I've checked Michaels countless times in the past month and always came away empty handed. I'm going to PM you, just to give you a head's up.  Wink
27  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Re: Where to find a metal square for a necklace? on: March 25, 2010 08:34:22 PM
It would help if you let us know what size you need... Cheesy

The size isn't relevant, I would have mentioned it if it was... at this point I'm willing to work AROUND the size of the square! Cheesy

Thanks for the links, I'll check them out.  Smiley
28  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Where to find a metal square for a necklace? on: March 25, 2010 12:40:12 AM
I want to make a necklace for a friend's birthday. It's nothing much but a chain and a metal square, and I have looked everywhere for just a plain silver (or "silver") square (no embellishments) and CANNOT find anything that would work! It's driving me crazy!

It's just this:

That's all I want. But I can't find it anywhere. It seems squares are out and circles are in!

I don't want to make one out of wire because the metal has to be sort of flat. There has to be somewhere where I can find this. Does anyone know where I can find something like this? Online, offline, anywhere??

...sorry for sound desperate! Cheesy Thanks for ANY help! Smiley
29  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Screen Printing: Discussion and Questions / Other Fabric Paints with Yudu Machine? on: March 24, 2010 02:57:15 PM
I checked this very helpful thread (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=290075.0), but most of the posts were a year old with unsure answers to the following question:

Is it really a bad idea to use other types of fabric paints (NOT counting Speedball inks, I already know they work well) with the Yudu machine? Does it really destroy the screen, or are they just trying to sell their ink? (As they show on their website)

It may just be me, but their ink seems so overpriced. I was curious if other ("generic") fabric paints were really as detrimental as they make it sound or if it is possible to make them work.

Thanks for the help! Smiley
30  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Re: "The Angels Have the Phone Box" t-shirt (Doctor Who) on: March 16, 2010 04:29:21 PM
It looks fantastic! Very clean. And one of my absolute favorite Doctor Who episodes (up there with Caves of Androzani and Tom Baker episodes...). I thought about making a shirt out of this one, too, because he says "I've got that on a t-shirt" but I don't think mine would be half as well done as yours. Cheesy I love the TARDIS key on the back!

Very well done!
