1  alteration help!!! in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by detailedlace on: August 30, 2006 01:11:47 PM
Hi all! I bought this beautiful cotton tunic from value village (3.99!!) made in pakistan but the only downside is that it is an XL, and I am s sm/xs. I canmanage to wear it as a medium but I'm so scared to touch because I'm afraid I'll ruin it. I hope you can see the detail in the pics below, you can't see it but there ae slits on the sides (I can do without them if it woudl be difficult for a beginner to reproduce them). I am new at sewing and if I can get some advice and decide to alter it myself I'll be doing it by hand (no sewing machine Sad ). If anyone thinks it might be too big of a project for a beginner I might spurge and get it tailored...thanks Smiley
