2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Pretty Potholder on: August 12, 2007 10:39:50 AM
This is the second thing I have ever crocheted!
Here it is! I used a 9 mm rosewood hand-carved hook which worked better for me than the metal ones. I used Red Heart Super Saver: Earth and Sky
The picture is tiny and so is my little dog!
Let me know what you think

3  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Golden Snitch Canes on: June 23, 2007 08:33:25 AM
Clay was on sale at Hobby lobby and I thought I would take a wack at it.
This is my first time working with clay at all, the first try at caning didn't turn out well, the colours were all muddy

The second try! I think it's better. I will work on it

Any tips to help me make a really good one?

7  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Melted bead bowls on: May 04, 2007 03:16:24 PM

I did it a little different than the ones that gave the the idea, I think
I took a pizza pan and arranged my beads
And "cooked" them at 375
When they were all flat and melty I let it cool for half an hour and then I put a metal mixing bowl open side down and I let it melt down the side and I like the way it waves
