201  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: My First BICO (Baby Its Cold Outside) on: March 18, 2007 09:59:00 AM
Great, thanks!  My friend had a baby this week, and I love any project that only uses one skein because I have a whole tote of leftover baby yarn from various blankets.
202  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: My First BICO (Baby Its Cold Outside) on: March 18, 2007 09:24:22 AM
What pattern is this?  Are those buttons or little crocheted balls?  Very cute and looks fun and quick to work.
203  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Pompous Piggy Painting on: March 18, 2007 08:51:09 AM
I LOVE the veedub, and that piggy's attitude!
204  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Topless Earflap Hat on: March 15, 2007 07:28:34 PM
Also great for dreads!
205  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Plastic on: March 15, 2007 07:16:33 PM
That stuff has "tote bag" written all over it!  You could make pockets for photos or art so that it isn't totally transparent.  Unless "deluxe weight" is too heavy to sew through.
206  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Gun Safety Reminder Monkey on: March 14, 2007 04:45:50 PM
I love the little mouth shrieking in pain, and the nipples!  This is why in my house, we have trigger locks.
207  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: Tubey crochetalong! Take that, knitters!!!! on: March 13, 2007 08:27:47 PM
Funny, the first time I saw this pattern I though how nicely it could translate into crochet!  My problem with crocheted clothing is finding a stitch/yarn combo that doesn't leave revealing holes...  Of course I could use sc but then the fabric gets so stiff.
208  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: Tube Top Crochetalong on: March 13, 2007 08:21:19 PM
I've thought of this before but how do I give it the elasticity to both slip over my head (sort of puffy due to my dreads) and also cling to my bony body?  I guess it could lace up the back, but then is it really a tube top? Huh
209  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: 70s-ish rainbow dress - opinions needed! on: March 13, 2007 07:53:49 PM
My boyfriend always says my clothes are "too colorful."  What he means is, other guys will be looking at me and he doesn't like it.  I think that dress is just perfect.
