You should visit the Albert Cuyp market in Amsterdam... Lot's of shops also, behind the 'kraampjes' (don't know how that's called in English).
And visit the "Stoffenbeurs" when it's in your region. When & Where:

The site now also works for Mozilla/Firefox.
Somehow something went wrong, but it's all repaired now. So enjoy!

The LTC is quite a walk from the station... but not impossible. Like 15 or 20 minutes... maybe you can rent a bike at the station? Not sure if that's possible... If you are used to very big stores it might be a dissapointment.... so i'd take a look at their website first for what they have. The space where they show their stuff is small and all things are pinned to the wall or boards, so sometimes it looks as if they don't have much choice... behind it there's a large storage hall (boy, would i love to walk around there!), but they at least have something... depending on what you need you also could try the 'Albert Cuyp' market in Amsterdam, lot's of fabric stores and funny shops with all kinds of things...

I found this website:
http://www.stoffenmarkt.nl/
You can find all the dates and places there.
The stupid thing is, the stofjesmarkt in Leiden was TODAY, just finished half an hour ago... Grrrr!
Why the ##%*& do they plan it on friday...

In Leiden we have LTChttp://www.ltcleiden.nl, they sell stuff to stores and schools like paint, glues, some fabric, beads, feathers, corks, clay, tools, wire etc... So there's a large 'magazijn'. But you can order small amounts also, no problem. I live near there so I often go peek at the discounts... Round the corner is the biggest secondhand shop in Leiden, 'Het Warenhuis'. Lot's of rubbish that can be pimped up!
There's indeed Kraal & Co, on the Nieuwe Rijn, and near the Haarlemmerstraat, near the Hartebrugkerk there's a little sewing supply shop with lots of buttons and how do you call them... randjes en kantjes (up the stairs).
And of course there's the saturday market with some fabric stands, a bead stand and some sewing supply stands. And once every few months there's a big 'stofjesmarkt', the location varies, so i don't know where the next one is. I'll look at the posters, seen them around these days, but didn't look at the date and place yet....
AND go to the flea-markets in the 'Groenoordhallen'! Every weekend stuffed with families selling things from the attic. There's always something usefull there...

Thanks for the compliments!
it's like a sea foamy cascade of beads!
Your description is even more beautiful than the charms themselves! Cheesy

I used little clasps like this, don't know what they're called in English. In dutch it's : veterklemmen.

You can bend the edges over your cord and attach the beads to the little ring.

You can also buy ready made cell phone charm straps, like this (with tute)

Good luck! And please post your results here, i'd love to see other cell-phone beauties  Grin
