3  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Cutting issues! on: June 26, 2007 08:54:27 PM
SO I'm pretty new at making and cutting out stencils, I'm running into a problem with the small pieces that are within the black pieces that do not need to be cut out within a piece that needs to be ... what is the best way to deal with those little buggers? I hope that makes sense!

Dorm room pull shades can be pretty ugly! so I decided to design my own.

First I bought cheap lining fabric in bright colors.
then I made an easy peasy pattern and cut the fabric out.
then I sewed the pieces together, turned, pressed and then to finish it off I top stitched with a silver zig zag.
