I am a HUGEHUGEHUGE rent-head and, of course, i already have the over-priced t-shirt that they sell at the shows (what can i ay...the show stole my heart)

I really want to make a few (thousand) more shirts that pertain to rent

If you have any pics or fav. quotes that you think wiould make  good shirt (keep in mind im not really...well, good at stenciling)

some of my fav/ quotes with ideas are

'to going against the grain, going insane, going mad' -la vie boheme (i was thinking of putting this quote on hte back and on the front have someone in a straitjacket)

'i didnt reconize you withut the handcuffs'- light my candle (this over pink [?] fuzzy hand cuffs, my mom would freak if i wore this at hime but that what camp is for!)

'how do you write asong when the chords sound wrong?' -rent (for my writers block days, this with a gee-tar underneath)

'Zoom in as they burn the past to the ground'-rent (this witha  building on fire? might remind of 9/11...maybe not a building, jsut a random object on fire?)

'you missed a sleeve' - you okay honey (hehe i just thought of a random idea while listening, a jsut random coat sleeve with this quote underneath)

'time flies...time dies'-one song glory (on the fount the first part with...on the back the second part)

'Dance a tango to hell'-the tango maureen (quote on front...pic of people tangoing, maybe a mouth with a black rose in it?)

'In Cyberland, we only drink Diet Coke' -maureens performance (have a pic of diet coke under)

hey all...this halloween I am going to be kerry (my friend ivos being bush) but I have a party to go to and the tradition for this party is to be sluttyish...like my friends sarah and rachel are going as...um not sure but their costumes are a bra with a fish net shirt over and kootchy cutters (sp?) with fishnet stockings...I don't want to be that slutty but...you know I wanna have fun...my costume needs to be made or cheap because my mom cant know im wearing it...please help!!

I'm going to move soon and it will be temporary, about a year or so so I wanted to have a quick, cheap ideas for my room. I posted them for people to comment on in another thing but I wanted your thoughts/ideas/experiences on similar things so i made a new topic.
 has anyone decoupaged newspaper before?
if so was it easy?
hard?
did it fade/peel over a short period of time?
if so how short/long?
im planning on doing an entire bed (like bnackboard and legs) and desk, nightside table, small dresser and possibly the edge of a mirror. has anyone done a large project like this?
how much do you think it would cost?
ive never decoupaged before so any help/tips/ideas would be GREATLY apperciated

Ok my parents are getting seperated  but an upside is that I'm moving and my dad is staying in our old house. This means I get to (re)decorate my room. My parents are trying to work out their problems before they get a divorce so the seperation and our living in the house will not be permanent. We'll live there for about a year so my mom doesn't want to spend a lot of money referbishing/decorating. I've thought of a bunch of ideas to cheaply decorate rooms, but I'd also like some help thinking. Here are some of my ideas:

1.Getting like a cheap, plain wooden bed at like Ikea or Target or Walmart or a thrift store and decoupaging(sp?) it (or just the head board) with newspaper. Also doing that with a desk that I am planning to custom make ( want it to fit in the corner of my room, so it has to be perfect). Also, possibly doing that to a small dresser, bedside table, and the outside flame of a full length mirror.

2. I really want my room to be black, but Know that would make me even more depressed so...erm...no. I also want it to be checkered red and black but it would be too destracting so I thought of an idea that incorperates all of these ideas plus shows my passion for music. I want to paint the walls like a bright red and then cover them with vinal LPs. That way it would be lid of black and red checkered, but cooler. You can get crap records for like .50 and a dollar so that would be cheap. I'm thinking of doing this to only one wall, because it could be too distracting.

3. Also, for my closet doors (i have 2 closets) i wanna just write lyrics to my favorite somgs on them in sharpie.

Ok thats my ideas but I also get my own bathroom (attached to my room) for the first time in my life and would like to know some cool, cheap rock/punk touches that would show people...erm...i dunno...me? for the shower curtain im thinking of getting two pieces of clear vynal and either putting rewritable CDs or 45s in between the two layers and using it as a shower curtain. but thats the only idea i have.
please help me...my current room is cool but...really old fashioned (lacy canopy bed with matching curtains, tons of antiques) and id like my new room to be completely different
