11  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / my 2nd attempt at sewing ever! (t-shirt reconstructed) on: August 06, 2004 07:09:12 PM
so i have all these old band t-shirts that i've been wanting to turn into tank tops (i don't wear big ass t-shirts anymore).  keep in mind i've only sewn one other piece of clothing in my life (a skirt from a pattern).  this was just me tracing the sides of a tank top i had, making the top and bottom straight across, and then making elastic shoulder straps.

i have 3 others that i've made (2 don't have straps yet) and a whole pile of shirts to go.  i'm not good at sewing yet but i think it turned out pretty good!
12  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / My Online Portfolio on: June 22, 2004 09:54:03 AM
so i revamped my website a few months ago because i needed something more professional looking.  i just graduated from college and potential employers are seeing this as a representation of my abilities.  i just wanted to see if you guys think it looks professional enough, yet creative enough (i AM an artist after all, and i don't want to be boring!!).  it used to be black with no strong structure, and the way it is now is supposed to look like you're in a gallery.

thanks in advance, you guys rock!
