1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / i turned an ill-fitting sundress into a damn cute skirt :D on: August 24, 2012 08:48:09 PM

my boobs are disproportional to most dresses, sundresses in particular. I found this one on clearance a couple summers ago for a buck or two. i loved the print, but it DID NOT flatter me at all. (it made me look like a creepy, pregnant toddler)

i'm a bit superstitious, so there's no before picture, but all i really did was fold the boobie-holder part over and turned it into the waistband. it took longer to pin than it did to sew, heheh.

2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / i made a stupid-simple skirt! on: August 24, 2012 08:27:25 PM

i found the fabric at the thrift store for .50.
luckily, the print is cute enough to carry my rectangle with elastic on top ..  Tongue
I have  about a half yard left, i might throw a bow or a pocket on there for shit & giggles. it needs something, i think.
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: a couple pairs of colorful stripey leggings on: May 10, 2011 06:19:31 PM
those are super cool.

..and that last picture is fantabulous!
you could totally frame it.
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Tiered Bell Bottom Jeans: My Hippie is OUT! on: May 05, 2011 10:01:45 AM
i love those pants.  go big or go home  Grin

also, i have a theory: if we all grow up and still dress "young" (or whatever), then eventually there will be a generation of old folks with wicked style. JC Penny can kiss our well-dressed asses. (i'm almost 30, and i decided to tried dressing like a grown-up too. and its boooooooring!!!)
5  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Completed Projects / Re: celebrity stache on: February 05, 2010 11:00:54 AM
i dig those. so much. you dont even know.
the only mustachioed celeb i can think of is magnum p.i.
but i tend to enjoy those curly french-type mustaches.

8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / this dress gives me a toothache. on: June 15, 2009 05:54:46 PM
but i have a high threshold of pain.
im not generally into heartsy pink stuff ...
its summer, (finally) getting hot, and i packed on too much winter insulation
so all of my breezy clothes refuse to sit right or cover my goods.
and for some reason i am totally raging against my bra right now...

i saw these 2 shirts on the 25 cent rack at the local used-a-bit, much like destined lovers across a busy dance floor. when i took them off the rack, i gagged a bit. the hearts were like 4 feet wide and two feet long. the pinky was a boat-necked belly shirt. ew... they were dying to be hacked to bits. so with lots of inspiration from you guys and a little luck, i obliged.

yuck ignore my hair

its pretty hack and slash, i made it up as i went along and none of the hems are straight and some of the stitching gets a little wacky.
i had to add the pink at the neckline because i way underestimated my cans.
the pink band around the middle with the bow, is the original neckline of the pink shirt.
its a little too short to be worn just as a dress, so ill have to  wear it with pants or maybe ill buck up and make some cutey bloomers and use it as a swimdress.

hey, thanks for looking
have a swell day!

angy

im a sucker for safety pins, but if understated punk is your thing,
the ribbon would look good too.

i'd be much obliged!
