I've done two small monthly urban craft fairs (4 ft. table), and just got accepted to a big one in December (about a 5 hour fair), where I will have to fill an 8 foot table. On the four foot table we had some jewlery (on bulletin boards and 3 towel racks), a little plate of sushi pin cushions, a couple of scarves, and some art (a container of photos and some tiny paintings). We're a pretty eclectic group of crafters who do everything on a budget (both money and time). I think that the only thing we don't know how to do is glasswork.
While we're planning on having more of all of the above, as well as some knitting needle cozies, we'd also like to do some holiday items or gift items. I've got some recycled card ornaments in the works and ideas for some origami ornaments. So, my question is: what types of holiday items would you like to see at an urban craft fair?
I've got some very plain off-white tab top cotton curtains from Target that need some dressing up. The color scheme for the room is autumn leaf colors (yellows, oranges, reds, greens, plus a denim sofa). Any suggestions? I thought about beading something for the tabs, but have been stuck.
I found a bunch of stuff on yarn & ribbon on clearance and decided to weave them together into scarves (with my ghetto loom - 2 kitchen chairs). Suggestions for improvement? Good as is and ready for the craft fair table?
