1  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Givers and Needers Swap Rnd 11 (SO 1/25 & 2/4) on: January 25, 2013 07:12:46 AM
Yeah I really like de-stashing swaps too! I recently moved and while going through my craft supplies I found lots of stuff that I never got around to using and probably won't haha. I'd way rather send it to a fellow craftster than just dump it at a donation center or throw it in the trash. I still have scrapbooking paper and fabric I need to let go of if another round starts up  Grin haha.

I see stickers! I love stickers! lol  Cheesy Looks like you got a really nice variety of crafty stuff in your package.  Smiley

I love stickers too haha. Especially chipboard since I haven't figured out a good alternative to just buying them...besides using a cricut or something but I definitely can't afford that Cheesy.

I really like that Koi stamp!

Me too, I think it's my favorite of the bunch Smiley. I just started stamping and all I have so far are clear stamps so it's exciting to get nice rubber ones

Woah! THAT IS A GREAT PACK! looks like you're gonna be busy!! what's glimmer mist btw?  Huh Grin

It's spray color (ink?) used for scrapbooking...with glitter!  Grin

Hmm I wanted to send to lillyanka in costa rica today but it looks like I have to keep the weight to under 4lbs? How disappointing  Sad I wanted to send a bunch of scrapbook paper but it can get pretty heavy!

I'm getting 4 lbs of stuff!? Yaaaaaay!! Cheesy

It started out as 15 lbs o_O. But then I over-compensated and got it down to 2. I hope you like everything! I had a LOT more paper to send and some fabric too but I did not want to spend $50 on shipping haha  Tongue

If I were an enzyme...

I'd be DNA Helicase so I could unzip your genes!
Awkward-bot says...

"Umm...Uhh...*shuffles feet* happy valentines day?"

I'm not really liking the yellow on red, but oh well!

1. I think the room took us around 3 weeks because we did silly things like try to scrape the wallpaper dry and paint over the older wallpaper. Once the wallpaper was all gone it only took us 2 days to do the painting.

2. Yup that's how the room originally was! Minus the brown spot which is where we started pulling off the wallpaper.

These photos are from my room last year when my landlord let me and my roommate fix up our room.

In the beginning:

Frilly window treatments, yellow trim, and awful wallpaper

Roommate holding a chunk of wallpaper she pulled off the wall

A housemate helping us scrape wallpaper before we discovered the magic of Dif and a paper tiger. Unfortunately there was another layer of wallpaper underneath!

In progress:

Finally the wallpaper is gone and it's time to prime!

The trim is painted! (Thanks to the help of blue painter's tape of course)

More of the painter's tape ball.

AFTER!

Yay! My side of the room! (No pics of the roommate's side unfortunately)

Desk area

Aaand an entertainment center I found on the street and turned into a window seat.

Thanks for looking! Smiley

I love how the pictures of my gels turn out in lab so I decided to frame them! So here are two gels I made and one picture of the scratched up platform that the gels sit on.

Here they are on the wall:

A little closer:

Aaand close-ups!
