This is my first time making a bag, and also my first time trying to pleat anything.

I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.

The strap, and the inside pocket are from some old corduroy pants.





Also, I should mention - I bought this amazing canvas fabric for 50 cents at a thrift store. The bag ended up very durable.

My boyfriend has been asking me to make him a cozy for his netbook for months, and I kept putting it off for one reason or another. I finally decided to surprise him!

I rummaged through the pile of old shirts he was going to throw out. He wore this shirt A LOT when we first met and was very reluctant to get rid of it, but it eventually ended up looking REALLY worn - It was missing a few buttons, so I used a different shirt for it's button closure and lining.

After some measuring, very particular cutting, stitching, and inserting a thick foam... I finally ended up with something pretty decent.

I'm really bad about taking "in-process" or "before" pictures - because once I'm inspired I tend to jump right in.

I'm a little late in getting this gallery up and running... but without further ado...

I cut the images (his body, and head) from this book called "Plastics" that I got from a free bin outside an independent bookstore over a year ago. The pictures inside are very technical and looked particularly robotic.

his arms and the balls on his antennae are done with metallic paint... I wish the pictures showed it better.

This swap you will make 9 separate Artist Trading cards (which are a standard size of 2.5 x 3.5 inches) to fill a 3 x 3 binder sheet. (These can be found at any comic shop, or anywhere you would buy baseball cards). The medium of the cards is limitless - mixed media, hand drawn/painted, recycled, fabric/fibre etc...

Please send your cards in a standard baseball card sheet.

A while back, my boyfriend drooled over a youtube video of a coffee table that was made as an exact replica of an orignal NES controller! http://broccolicity.files.wordpress.com/2008/05/nin-table1.jpg

What he doesn't know, is I've been sneaking off to make him a similar one for his birthday... He knows I'm up to something, because he found his electric sander in my car!

with the help of my very crafty dad, I've finally finished!







I also painted two question block canvases for our wall...


these are what I'm going to give him first and say "Here's what took me forever to make you!" and when he asks why I needed to borrow his electric sander, I'll have him help me bring in the finished table from my car!

I made this Doggy bag for my aunt for her birthday. I used a pattern from the book Fast, Fun & Easy - Fabric Critter Bags. It ended up being fun, but not really that fast or easy.

It turned out kindof strange - The frilly part is supposed to be his teeth, and the handle is presumably his collar.





The face is cute, but I'll try again to get the ears better next time.
