Hey thanks everyone for the congrats - I was going to post something myself, but I've fallen off the crafting bandwagon lately. Lots of "life" has gotten in the way.

:-) I'm alive and well... just not crafting much. Need to get back into it.

I'm headed to the Seattle stop tomorrow! As many of you know, I'm going to propose to my boyfriend via the sketchbook! SO incredibly nervous - I've been thinking of all the things that could go wrong.

I'm terrible at keeping secrets, but have managed to keep this one from him. Holy crap.

Not the best scan... the colors ended up a bit off.

I'm pretty pleased with it.

I think - since my theme is "...in 10 minutes" I'm going to attempt to work for only 10 minutes at a time. I was thinking about making my backgrounds - then taking my book to work and using it for some 10 minute therapeutic journaling between projects or tasks.

I'm REALLY torn (pun intended) on rebinding. I did it last year, but it was definitely a chore. There are only 16 spreads in this book.

Has anyone played around with the paper and different mediums yet. I'm wondering how gesso might work.

After seeing that some of you are already getting started, I forced myself to chose a theme. I'm going to be bummed if new themes are announced.

I chose In 10 minutes.

Can't wait for the book to arrive!

I too am having trouble connecting with a theme... Last year, there were so many themes that I was interested in that it was hard to narrow it down! This year I can't even find ONE.

Also, I'm excited for the thicker pages in the new books! Last year it was a pain in the butt to rebind - so hopefully I won't have to!

Yep... I'll definitely be signing up again.

Whenever you get a 2012 thread going, I'll join!

I'm not really connecting with a theme yet... last year they seemed to add new themes later. I wonder if they'll do that again?

So, if you gave us your I.D. number, we saw your book today! It was checked out by either one or the other of us. You were allowed to check out two books at a time, so we went up together each time, checked out four, and then each read them all before going back up for four more. We loved seeing your books in person!

That is SO amaaaazing! I got an e-mail saying mine had been viewed two more times! That's so great! Thank you!

goat goddess - were you able to sign/write in books? Did they police it?

As Y'all know - my big Seattle date is right around the corner -- so I've been trying to figure out more of the logistics. I didn't think all the little details through back in January. Getting slightly more nervous.

I got an e-mail today saying:

"We just wanted to let you know that bradley m. just viewed your sketchbook (#31230) at Brooklyn Art Library in Brooklyn, NY!

Your book has been viewed 1 time so far.

Sincerely,
The Brooklyn Art Library Librarian"

How many other sketchbooks have been viewed? This is so exciting!
