2  The "I Can Do Anything" spring skirt, AKA McCalls 5591 in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by hardkandi on: April 04, 2008 07:02:29 PM

So I hardly sew from patterns anymore, but when I saw this skirt I knew I had to make it! I have this stash of fabric that is only growing, a friend who needed some skirts, and the perfect pattern! What do you guys think?? It was totally easy to make; only took a couple of hours from start to finish. I definetly reconmend this pattern for people to try =] And now on to more pictures!

As always C&C are totally cool! =D Tell me what you think!

3  Black goth bondage mini skirt (kinda image heavy!) in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by hardkandi on: March 08, 2008 12:52:13 PM

So I never thought this skirt was post-worthy until my friend told me I should post anyways! I've been making her some goth clothes to wear to the club to get me some business and so far I've had some mild success!! Here are some closeup shots of the skirt:

And here is another one from the photo shoot that I did:

(Sorry for the crapy colors of the photos! They look amazing on the computer, but when I uploaded them, they became all washed out) Comments and (helpful) critique are always welcome! Thanks for looking =]

5  Sailor Jacket !! (slightly image heavy) [EDIT!: New pics on page 4!!!!!] in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by hardkandi on: September 23, 2007 06:11:14 PM

YAY!!!!! I'm finally done with this outfit! My friend wanted this outfit (http://onlyinjapan.net/gallery/albums/commisson/commission06.sized.jpg) so I set out to make it. Finally two months later I'm done! (Stupid school/work taking up all of my time.) Let me know what you guys think. I'm looking for constructive criticism/thoughts to help me grow as a seamstress.

Tell me what you honestly think please =] My friends/family tell me that they like it, but maybe they are just saying that because they don't want to hurt my feelings. However "I HATE IT!!!" doesn't really help. =\ I'm off to make something else ^___^

6  Made my own kimono (pic heavy) in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by hardkandi on: August 20, 2007 07:10:42 PM
Another day, another post. This is the kimono I made for my cousin. I used Simplicity 4080. This pattern is not for the faint of heart lol. The instructions were very very confusing. Honestly, if you're looking for a kimono patter and don't care  if the kimono looks very authentic then I would recommend Butterick 6698. The pattern isn't much to look at right now, but I wanted to make a muslin one before getting expensive fabric. Enough words! On to the pictures. Please tell me what you think.

My friend saw the outfit below on http://www.cosmates.jp and really wanted it...but its $152!!

Rip OFF. I told her I could make it for a fraction of the price =] Here's the skirt so far! I'm waiting for my grommet tape to finish the embellishments on the skirt, and I'm currently working on the jacket. Let me know what you think!!
