2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Knit for crocheted (and vice versa) Swap? on: September 14, 2008 01:44:30 PM
When I am looking for crochet patterns, I always run across some amazing knitting patterns, and I'm sure it happens to knitters too!
Would anybody be interested in a swap where if you're a knitter, you get paired with a crocheter at a similar skill level and trade knit/crocheted items?
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Paint chip necklace on: August 14, 2008 03:35:39 PM
I love to grab handfuls of paint chips in hardware stores even though my mom won't let me paint my room. Paper beads are fun to make but I always felt like they were a little flimsy and I got the idea to use paper chips.  I loved it so much that I'm making more!

These are really addicting to make in front of the TV and they can be made really fast. I was thinking of having my closet door removed since it doesn't close anyways and making a beaded curtain. I think these would be an awesome material to use along with beads and maybe magazine pages as well. What do you think?

Thanks for looking! Cheesy
4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / So many hats! on: August 03, 2008 12:53:59 AM

These are some of the hats I made for my friends.

The first is a cat hat for me!
The second is an ant and it has pipe cleaners in the antennae.
The third is of course a Mario mushroom!
The fourth is a oceanic hat with felt shark
Then there's the bear hat
and a wizard hat that has a secret compartment (it hides a seagull)
A hippo, then a snake!

Hope you enjoyed looking! Cheesy
5  COOKING / Dessert / Cupcake mix cookies? on: April 08, 2008 08:00:01 PM
Hey there!
I made cake mix cookies last week and they were so delicious! I actually ended up eating them all before they got to my friend's for his birthday...oops!
Well today, I went to find the cake mix again so I could re-make the cookies, but all they had left was cupcake mix. (apparently everyone discovered cake mix cookies last week) Will it work with the same recipe?

Both mixes are Betty Crocker and the recipe I used was basically:
1 Box Cake Mix
2 Eggs
1/2 cup Oil
2 Tablespoons Water

Mix well, Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.
Thanks for any help! Smiley
6  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Walnut reindeer on: August 21, 2006 01:01:34 PM
Although Christmas is well off, this is just a silly tutorial from last winter on something I used to do as a kid.

You could make other animal creations as well! Smiley

The image is too big for me to post, so here is the link to my deviantart: link! (click on the image to see the steps!)

7  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Mother's Day Cards on: August 13, 2006 08:34:21 PM

Very simple Mother's Day cards from this year and last.

The first is made by quilling and the second is from 24-gauge wire, seed beads, tissue paper hearts, and dried flowers! Smiley
