1  Re: A Week of Baby Onesies Swap Round 5 GALLERY (Send-out 10/25) in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by cosmo_mouse on: November 01, 2010 02:02:20 PM
Lovely shirts everyone, loving the R2D2 and Yoda shirts

I have to apologise, we received from IdlersDesign but I've not been able to post pictures. Austin is asleep at the moment so I thought I'd grab a minute to sort them all out.

Dexter was very excited when the package arrived

And helped to unwrap the extra little gift for him - a new colouring book

Dexter's skeleton tshirt (he loved this and refused to take it off!)

And matching for Austin

Planes for Dexter (please excuse his dribble!)

And matching for Austin

Applique trains for Dexter, he loves trains and was running around the living room pretending to be a train  Grin

And for Austin a stripey with painted giraffe

Extras for Austin. The trousers are super snugly, unfortunatley Austin has a big head  Wink so the hat doesn't fit but it is just super cute

Thank you IdlersDesign for being a great swap parter, hope you get yours soon

Well I was organised...

Two new things arrived yesterday, the sewing machine hubby has bought for my birthday and this little chap  Grin

Austin James was born at 00.31 Monday morning after a less than 2 hour labour (and only just at hospital!)

We're all home now and doing really well (his big brother adores him), just glad I have ideas for all the shirts. Sorry for the kind of off topic post  Cheesy

3  Toy Kitchen in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by cosmo_mouse on: August 24, 2010 08:32:11 AM
I can't throw anything out! Even though I was going to put the box in the recycling I decided resuing it would be much more fun  Cheesy

The box originally had the trike that my inlaws bough for our son's second birthday last week and along with a sweet tin, pots, bottle lids and part of an old necklace Dexter's new play kitchen came to life.

As it's only cardboard and Dex is a little whirlwind I'm sure it won't last long but he seems to like it Smiley

The original box (although I turned it inside out so it would be easier to paint)

The finished kitchen

More great additions to the gallery. I think my favourites are the mickey ones too Smiley

I received my shirts from beeker today and they're all great. I'm afraid there are a few pictures  Wink I apologise that I couldn't get great action shots, he doesn't sit still anymore!  Cheesy

Dexter helped me open the package. He wandered around with the note from beeker in his hand saying paper and doing the makaton sign.

He was very interested in the extras you set. He loves the cars and cried when I took them off him to go to bed.

His new 'Big Brother' tshirt. Our new addition is due in September Smiley

Yojojo from Waybuloo. This one is my hubby's favourite

Tie dyed shirt with glitter too Smiley (forgive the pose in the first pic... he was dancing to the radio!)

A Frog, A Stick poem. This one is my favourite the poem is very true of little boys.

He got upset at this point because he'd lost one of his new cars

Then we found it...

Don't ask how it managed to get stuck, I have no idea!

Making Tracks. This one is great. It's red which is a great colour on him and has wheel tracks all over it.

And a little something extra

for the new addition to be (that we saw for the first time as an actual baby today on our ultrasound)

And more lovely extras for Dexter and the new baby. I'm loving the hungry caterpillar (it was my favourite book when I was little)

Thank you again to beeker for being a great swap partner

5  Re: Anyone Interested in 50 Projects 2010? in Craftalongs by cosmo_mouse on: January 04, 2010 02:44:41 PM
I have no idea of all the 50 projects I want to do, so I think I'll just post as I go along and make things if that's okay.

1. Trial invites for my sister in law's wedding.

I stupidly forgot to take pictures before I gave them to her, but hopefully I should be able to get some later once she's picked a design. She seemed to like them so that's a good sign Smiley

2. recon pajama bottoms for little man

My husband and I are in the process of having a major clear out of our clothes, I'm not sure if I've seen it in here or just in my head but I kept thinking how well long sleves would work as trouser legs so I chopped up one of my old tops and made him a new pair of pajama bottoms Smiley

They're not the most perfect, they're hand sewn and are a bit to short at the back but for a first go, I'm pretty happy! Oh and forgive the mismatch thomas top and dodgy 'model pose'  Tongue he doesn't want to sit still anymore now he can walk

Next on the list is to finish a Rapunzel scarf for me. I made quite a few as gifts for Christmas and never made one for myself.

6  Re: 2009 Holiday Handmade Crusade :: (December Theme Page 1) in Craftalongs by cosmo_mouse on: December 30, 2009 10:33:14 AM
There have been some awesome crafts in this thread, so many ideas for next year and I'm getting a start even earlier next year!!

I've got photos of some of the other things I made this year, I'm annoyed that I forgot to take pictures of some of them but I was running out of time. I'm glad everything seemed to be well received Smiley

Some of the things I did remember to take pictures of:

More Rapunzel scarfs for friends

Crayon rolls

For my nieces I made some hair grips and bands

For the ladies at work I made honey tea loaves

I'm going to try and get pictures of some of the other things I made but for now I'll add a list

Two gingerbread men kits (one with aprons I made for my nieces), a necklace for my mum, bracelets for my three other nieces, a car roll in the same style as the crayon roll, chocolate fudge and chocolate popcorn for indulgence kits, two mulled wine kits and a framed family tree (from the templates here)

Phew, that sounds like a lot when it's all written down!!

7  Re: Inchies Exchange R3 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by cosmo_mouse on: June 09, 2009 01:24:57 PM
I received my final set today from sonjabegonia Smiley So here are all the pictures

My favourite is the middle one with the ladies and the small beads

And all of the inchies together

And I added all of the inches (and a few extras I made to make sure it was a full row) to the inchies I had from the previous swap onto my wall. I'm loving how it looks  Grin

Thanks to everyone for making this a great swap

Thanks for the pattern link Christephi, the apron is awesome I may have to have a go myself.

I'm just about sneaking in under the wire with these Smiley I've made them for my mum and hubby's mum. Not sure who's getting which colour but I link them both. The Rapunzel scarfs are lots of fun and I enjoyed getting so many different types of wool and other things (I've use decorative parcle tie on the blue one it was sliver thread with little white pom poms).

I thin kI'll be making a few more for the other ladies on my list Smiley

A bit closer up

Aww, bless you all. Your comments made me smile Smiley And barbolot he's breaking hearts already. Wink He is a terrible flirt!

As I promised I've tried to get a decent copy of the flower pattern that I copied from a piece of magazine artwork. I've tried to get it as clear as I could so hopefully some of you ladies can use it. I should be able to get it bigger if anyone needs it just let me know.

This has been a great swap and I'm looking forward to the next round!

Aww all of the onesies are adoreable.

I received Dexter's onesies yesterday but didn't get a trying on session until after breakfast this morning. They are all completely awesome, as is J_Kieviet for making all but one of them from scratch. You're very talented.

Dexter has been completely spoilt! J_Kieviet sent 4 tshirts, 2 onesies, 5 sets of shorts, a playsuit and a hat! I managed to get some great pictures... quite a few Smiley

Car T-shirt the car is felt and the traffic lights are made from fabric paint. Unfortunately the shorts don't quite fit but I'll be keeping them for if we have another Smiley

Shorts

Plane onesie, the propellers move around and it's adorable. I love the embroidery on the back too.

Duckie T-shirt and shorts.

'Who needs Santa I have Grandparents!' Dexter's so spoilt by his grandparents so this'll be a great one for him. It's big on him now but hopefully nearer Christmas it'll fit him great.

Hubby's favourite, a replica spurs kit. Amazing research on these you've even got the logos. The back is great and is very fitting as Dexter was born in August last year 20.08.2008 at a couple of minutes to 8 and weighing 8lb so 8 is a very good number for him.

Blue striped shorts and matching hat

And also matching a completely adorable play suit. The material reminds me of Andy Pandy)

Grey Shorts (you can tell by this point he was starting to get fed up with my making him trying everything on)

Digger the Dinosaur onesie - This is a great colour on him.

That was the last of the smiles, there was a scream just after the last one and then he was off. He'd had enough!

My favourite is the play suit and hat, so much so I think He's wearing it tonight when we're going to a barbeque. Thank you so much J_Kieviet for being a great swap partner. *hugs*

Phew...That was a long post. Smiley
