This is my oh so messy workspace.  I use my dining room table, and can only do that when my three daughters are at their dad's house for the weekend!  When they're here I have to stash everything in the pantry and only get out the very basics.  Even then I don't get any work done!   I have finished hats in big gift bags, hooks mixed in around pen/pencil drawers and unused yarn in giant zip lock bags.  Any suggestions on better storing/simplifying crochet tools/materials or minimizing your work space?

It seems like everyone is in love with super thick yarn lately!  Am I the only one that likes the thinner softer stuff?
For example: 
This is my three year old wearing a hat I made with a very thick yarn and a very big hook.  It seems like a lot of people LOVE this type of hat!  Just from friends/family seeing the pics of my daughter wearing it.

I guess I should get into using the thicker yarns, but I personally don't like wearing them as much.   What do you think?  Which would you prefer to wear or wear on your child?

I made the first hat to match his eyes, this hat to match his coat, I like this one better.  I'm actually being a traitor in this pic and not wearing one of my own hats.   I forgot mine at home and had to wear one of his.

The other day my mom said it's not hat weather this year...too mild, she says!

I say yeah right!  It's always hat weather!  So I perservere through this dry spell and I made new hats!  What do you think?

Seems like alot of yous guys are always making things for the men in your lives, so I was inspired...
I made my boyfriend a hat recently, he has super curly unruly dark hair, which I love, but he prefers to wear a hat.  So Voila! a hat for my Mister:

I made 4 throws for christmas, one for each of my 4 siblings in about three months.  I made lots of other stuff in between though.

So my suggestion would be try and keep it small, I made them so they would be comfortable enough to snuggle with on the couch, but not so big that they'd be cumbersome.  My husband usually doesn't like any of my crochet projects, but he gave me the thumbs up on these!



This is three of them, without trim.  The fourth is green with lavender trim for my littlest sister.

Here's Britney in this hat, which I thought was cute, but also I thought the brim was overkill.  I don't usually search for pics of poor Miss Spears online, but I saw this and liked the pom pom thing.  I saw a commercial for Real World Road Rules challenge too and one of the girls was wearing a really similiar style. 
So while I was nursing wee Max for her nap I attempted to make something even cuter.

Hats...yes I am obsessed.  These are some new hats I came up with, what do you think?  Worth making more like this, or should I move on?

I made a couple new hats this week so far.  It was fun taking pics out in the crisp fall weather.  Sun's still too hot for a warm hat though!  I can't wait for the cold!  Sorry all  you summer lovers, I'm a bundler.

I made this set for my niece's 1st birthday this week.  I've been using my daughter's giant bear as my new model alot lately.  I think he's hotter than me!
