1  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Re: 14 Quilt Projects in 2014 Quilt Along! on: February 20, 2014 08:39:48 PM
waggonswest Im curious, do you have any issues with the less dense quilting like in your Paris Flea Market quilt? I don't have a lot of quilts under my belt but I always quilt so much denser.

Done, whoo hoo! This one has been in progress for an embarrassingly long  time. It is a Denise Schmidt pattern called "What a bunch of squares". I hand quilted it.The back is pieced with a couple flannels, my first time using flannel as a backing. I wanted it to be extra warm. It is the first quilt Ive made for my own bed so Im so excited to use it.

um...cannot figure out why it keeps uploading sideways. Its not sideways on my computer.

And that's our new puppy, Huckleberry. Love the Minecraft quilt. I hope you don't mind me copying but I have added two of those to my list for my minecraft-obsessed boys. Just what I needed-more projects!!!

I finally have my first Quilt of 2014 completed and ready to share! It's a mini. I'm doing a wall of minis in my craft room/office. It is a block from the Spools Quilt in Quilty Magazine. Its about 24" square.

And, if all goes well I will have my second share tomorrow. Just finishing the binding and sending this baby to the washer and dryer. I managed to get the binding sewn in 2 nights watching Call The Midwife on Netflix.

I received an amazing stocking from GranniesAnnie this weekend. Here is a peek:
First is the lovely cream and light green stocking. It is huge, stretchy, and really well made.

Almost as big as my youngest!

Here is everything unwapped and out of the box.

Up close of the homemade bath salts and lipgloss:

And here are more crocheted goodies-a bath poof and a Chicago Bears hat (which happens to be my favorite thing):

Now look at this ADORABLE pair of Elf Dust earrings:

And a handmade charm bracelet. Very pretty!

And last but not least here is my collection of store bought gifts-a wooden spoon, cookie tin, lots of washi tape, Christmas tree stickers and a magnetic needle case:

This was my first big swap and I couldn't be happier with what my partner made me. Thank you so much Annie!!!
