1  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Felting sites to visit for Inspiration on: August 01, 2007 02:24:51 PM
My hubby needle felts all of the faces on our bears.  When I don't feel like being creative I like to look at his work and then it's a big pick me up.

For more inspiration you can search for needle felted items on ebay, some of the work is amazing.

Thanks for all of the felting links!

The machine I sew on is a $79 Brother from WalMart. lmao!!!

Thanks for the kind words everyone.  Comes in handy when I'm pulling my hair out.

On ebay you can put a link to your website in your "About Me" page, that is fine with ebay, and I've gotten alot of hits to my website that way.  Just put something in your ad like "Click on my "about me" page to find out more about us and how to join our mailing list".

If you have your site listed in your ad someone can (and probably will) report it and then your auction will be pulled.

That's so cute! I really think my sister had a shirt made of that fabric in the 80's.

7  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / New Mohair Bear on: August 01, 2007 09:30:26 AM
So this is my new bear for this week.  I really love how he turned out.  He's made of a taupe colored mohair that has a dark backing that I think looks nice.  Hubby has stared a new way of painting the eyes, and I think they really stand out.  He's 15".

I'm working on some new patterns, but I'm having one of those days where what I have in my head is NOT what turns out in muslin. haa haaa haaaaa hrumph!

Enough of my complaning...Here is August...
