This poncho looks so cool but I'll have to wait until I can buy a Q hook I am not good at trying to figure out stuff for smaller hooks. I guess mom will have to wait till Christmas for this and now I have to make one for my sister also. My biggest hook is an N and I have one that doesnt have a size it is bigger then then N hook , I will have to check it out next time I go to Walmart.
What kind of yarn did you use or does it matter? And what is a size z hook never seen one before. I am almost finished with my current project and would like to start this one asap. Looks like it would go fast and I need to make two before the 15th of Aug.
ok I was looking at the pattern for the three color poncho and you are supposed to use two strands or a chunky yarn I used one strand and just had to add extra rows I'm making one now with two strands I will post a pic as soon as I'm done.
The pink blanket is called Preemie Puff Blanket and is found at this site http://bevscountrycottage.com/preemie-puff.html I did six rows of puff stitch then just did one puff stitch at beginning and end of rows it was pretty easy then did another six rows of puff to finish it off. We decided it looked nice enough not to go around the edge. The pattern has a preemie size and a baby size. Make sure you use a good yarn I was going to do it in cotton but it was too hard so I ended up using a reg yarn in the end. The blanket feels good an heavy it will be nice for the colder months. I used about 16 oz of reg yarn.
The blue and yellow blankets was made with bernate cotton yarn the pattern is on www.lionbrand.com it is the hooded blanket it was pretty easy to do. The pink blanket I found on the web it is a puff blanket I decided not to do the whole thing puff cause I only had 16 oz of yarn. We might put the baby's name in the pink blanket later.
