1  everybody sympathizes with a sad cheerleader... in Dyeing: Completed Projects by Dacey on: March 30, 2007 08:00:03 PM
i made this batik of my sister in my fibers class..

i'm not really sure why i chose to do this picture, because she was actually crying when it was taken.. because i accidently hurt her head when i was doing her hair..

actually, know that i think about it, it probably had more to with the fact that she had only gotten 4 hours of sleep the night before..

oh well.

so, i did these batiks in my fibers class, and i must say i'm rather proud of them.

the first one was just a little one so we could get used to the process.

my second one was twice as big, but went a lot faster because there wern't as many small spaces...

4  Re: Boyfriend Weaving. in Weaving: Completed Projects by Dacey on: February 22, 2007 01:35:18 PM
well, i worked on it every day in class for about 5 and a half weeks...

i'm not really sure what the type of loom was called..but it was basically a piece of cardboard with slits cut 1/4 inch apart on the sides with the warp threads going between the slits...

you can kind of see what i'm talking about in this..
